[Misc] Covid Jab Poll for those who have had the Jab

Just had the first jab today at the Brighton centre as am in the over 65 group. Got booking online for both jabs with no problem with dates or times.

Pretty efficient operation and staff very reassuring for someone with needle phobia (like me)!

Barely felt the jab (AstraZeneca) and feel fine so far so am very pleased as I now feel pretty confident about getting a summer holiday with my wife, who had her jab two weeks ago (vulnerable category).

Oddly enough, she found her jab a bit painful (also AstraZeneca) and had a sore arm for a day or so, so effects clearly not universal.

Had my first Jab (AZ)this afternoon at my surgery, In and out in 5 minutes, arm aches a little but so far no other side effects, was also told to sit in the car for 15 mins to make sure there were no side effects. Wasn't told what to do if there were though! found it a bit strange as my car wasn't even in the surgery car park.

My Auntie - who had mild covid in November, and has underlying health issues had her Pfizer jab yesterday, she felt quite poorly overnight but now feels a lot better, seems to follow the pattern than those who have had covid already can get worse reactions as it promotes a stronger immune response as your body has seen the virus before.

Would be interested to know if anyone else who has had confirmed covid and now the jab also, has had the same as I have seen similar reported in the news.

Hmmm. Postponed from last week to tonight due to no vaccine. Postponed again a couple of hours ago till next Friday, again no vaccine today. In normal times a bit of an inconvenience, in Covid times grateful that's all we have to worry about. But frankly Mrs Earle had been counting the days to V day and a step on the road to safety and she's pretty crushed by the new delay. Hopefully next week we'll be ok and I can do the poll.

Hastings is having to pause vaccinations now and there is no restart date, Bexhill has stopped until 26th Feb.

I am over 70 with "issues". Had first Pfizer dose early January.I am waiting to hear about the second one. I had no ill effects

74 with no underlying issues other than getting old!

There is no such thing as getting old with no underlying health issues my mother used to always say

" Old Age doesn't come on its own you know son "

I am just starting to realize what she meant.

I think a lot of people voted in the early stages without having had the jab (it wasn't cleared up for a bit), hence the skewed results

I received a text from my GP on Wednesday. 24 hour later I had mine in Clair Hall, Haywards Heath. I was very impressed with the efficiency of the whole process.

Quickly through admin and a quick chat with the nurse who advised that I would be receiving the Pfizer jab as that was what they were given on that particular day.

Like others have mentioned, I had to sit down for 10 minutes afterwards. Slight tenderness in the arm this morning but no side effects of concern,

Indeed most of my friends 65 plus be called. Very few less than 65....I`m 64 and still waiting. Apart from NHS, care workers etc. I know no one under 60 been vaccinated !!!

Although 80 NSC under 65 been vaccinated !!

Had a text from the surgery inviting me to go on Wednesday and had it on the Friday
Arm a bit stiff for a couple of days but nothing else wrong
Very efficient service

It was only 20 mins until I changed the title and I think there were only 2 who actually voted.

I am surprised, as when i first posted it, I expected to see a large number at the top of the poll at the beginning and then see it 'trickle down'. As pointed out earlier though, could be reflective of the demographic of NSC, with more younger posters and a high proportion of health and care staff, maybe ?

I quite like seeing it bounced though as more of the regular names on NSC get done
