Poyet is a poor manager when it comes down to finding & securing attacking scorers. This I think is his biggest weakness. We are not going to attract a decent scorer this year & will have to rely on the headless chicken & Barnes. Lower mid table I suspect.

As you know, it is the fashion to call Barnesy 'one of our best players'. As you also know, I believe he is one of the most replaceable at the moment.
It seems to have got to the point where whenever anyone mentions him they have to add an extra comment to say how they think he's fantastic.

As you know, it is the fashion to call Barnesy 'one of our best players'. As you also know, I believe he is one of the most replaceable at the moment.

Are you taking the piss? Barnes gets far more undeserved criticism than any member of our team but if you defend him all you get is sarcastic comments about how you are saying he is a world beater. Nobody is saying he is perfect or our best player but he is an important part of the team/squad and gets a lot of unfair stick from certain people at the Amex and here.

As for tonight's result, the over reaction on here is amazing. We draw 0-0 with an equivalent team in Spain and certain people are on about relegation. Whether they are being serious or not, it is not funny/boring.

Absolutely. Apparently they lost in the play offs of the Spanish second division so it is like drawing away at a team like Blackpool, which would be a pretty decent result. Also, good to see Bridge play for the first time and Kuszczak keep a clean sheet behind what will probably be our first choice defence at Hull (with a question over Dunk or El Abd).

It is one thing to state your opinion, it is another to lie. To say people say he is one of our best players is wrong. I don't think anyone says that. I think a fair number defend him from the unfair criticism he gets and say he is underrated but that is as far as it goes, although I am sure there will be the odd exception.

I've read it on here about half a dozen times, but if it suits your argument, then yes, I am a liar and I wouldn't be surprised if my pants were to burst into flames at any moment.

Decent evening out. Got a bit heated at times. Noone taken off after a few punches seemed to be thrown. Need a goal scorer. Bruno was mom for me, what a signing he looks to be. Even though only 30-40 Brighton to 2-300 of them I thought we made more noise!

Let's hope our new striker is not too far away. We definitely need one if we are to pull up trees this season. Ditto a robust, attacking midfielder.I just hope that Gus doesn't give up on his aspirations in this respect and kid himself that we should make do with what we have.

I plainly said I have read quotes that Ashley is one of our best players about 6 times. The Peter Ward thing was a flippant comment by me.
