He doesn't, though. They laugh at him because they think he's an arse. Gammons hate Starmer - because he's a threat. All things considered - Corbyn upsetting Gammons is still a good thing.

If these constituencies did return a UTwat MP..... which side of the house would they sit?
Would they sit opposite the hated Starmer who refused to throw Israel into the sea?
Or would they sit opposite the party that openly and unconditionally supports Israel?
Decisions....decisions....innit.
(Any constituency returning a UTwat MP would be very much welcome to them, in my view, and a candidate constituency for reduced public funding. But I can't see even the ones westy listed being mad enough to machine gun themselves in the face, Hamas style).
The Labour party is a proud movement, steeped in tradition who have been responsible for many good ideas and firsts in our national history and have championed the working classes. It may not always get it right, but it stands for something and means something. These breakaways always seem to fizzle out in short time …. a lack of resources, folk bottle giving up little fiefdoms.
Exactly. This is why they’re trying so desperately to make mud stick, like the recent thing about “he supports terrorists because he defended terrorists in court” thing, which anyone with half a brain realised was total bollocks. He doesn't, though. They laugh at him because they think he's an arse. Gammons hate Starmer - because he's a threat.
But he even f***ed that up, by saying he was 70% in favour of remaining. Not enough to help the remain campaign properly, and more than enough to annoy the Brexit nutters. He might even hoover up some old working class Red Wall votes, from his career long dislike of the EEC/EC/EU.
Fair point. Reading The Sunday Times today - along with The Times it's gone full on right wing attack mode for The Tories like The Telegraph and Mail etc. Lib Dems are fair game again now. As Starmer acknowledges, it's going to get ugly this year.He doesn't, though. They laugh at him because they think he's an arse. Gammons hate Starmer - because he's a threat.
I don't read the papers. That choreographed circle-jerk is disappointing, if not surprising. Bit odd nevertheless that these paper owners feel that Starmer is such a threat. He must be way to the left of the Blair that some of them backed in 87, in their eyes A bit odd, too that they think all will be well (for them) with Sunk in charge. Does that mean he's know to them as a paid-up member of the venal money-grub gang? Perhaps it does.Fair point. I think the red wall feels betrayed by Johnson/Truss/Sunk and, if not favourably inclined towards the tories, will vote labour rather than UTwit/UTwat (can't decide what the best name for them is yet). Going from Johnson to Corbyn is a step too far even for these simple, humble, hard-working (men and women and their families) northern folk, I suspect.
If Starmer becomes PM there's a chance some people have to pay some tax, hence the jitters I guess, or so they may think. All the best to you as well.I don't read the papers. Oh well. f*** 'em. 'Ordinary' people still have a vote, thankfully.
Hope all's well with you, BTW. Always a pleasure to read your witterings .
Will you apologise with everyone else that's falsely accused him of this ridiculous smear? It depends how anti-semitic you want to be.

Your going with the Guardian on this Corbyn was undermined from within that's why we haven't seen the Forde Report. The assertion that he himself was anti-Semitic is totally ridiculous. Here we go again.
The independent report from the EHRC found widespread anti semitism in the LP under his leadership and political interference from his office to block legal due process.
https://www.theguardian.com/politic...-of-the-ehrc-inquiry-into-labour-antisemitism
Why would the LP do that in his reign? Protect old anti semitic chums?
They are not trueIf rumours are true then JC might just launch a new proper socialist party for those not satisfied with Starmers Labour option. Could this split the left vote enough to stop an overall majority for anyone, or just let the Conservatives in through the back door?
Except people like you who make these points ever state what the “interference” actually was. And there’s a reason for that. The interference was Corbyn’s office trying to press the dysfunctional Labour bureaucracy into speeding up an antisemitism disciplinary case because they believed Livingstone had made unacceptable statements that weren’t being dealt with quickly enough. Here we go again.

lol Starmer adopts all of their prejudices. His rhetoric against immigrants promises to be “tougher” on them than the Tories. Old fashioned racism is back and dominating our political system. The demise of Corbyn dragged British politics rapidly to the rightHe doesn't, though. They laugh at him because they think he's an arse. Gammons hate Starmer - because he's a threat.
Excellent post. The Labour party is a proud movement, steeped in tradition who have been responsible for many good ideas and firsts in our national history and have championed the working classes. It may not always get it right, but it stands for something and means something.
Why would any right minded person leave the Labour party to follow a failed and disgraced ex leader, who presided over rampant anti semitism, has extremely questionable links, engages with terrorists, has displayed woeful levels of anti UK mis-judgement. The lunatic who really praised, totally corrupt and bankrupt venezula as a model to aspire to.
I think Starmer is a bit of a bland wet lettuce, but he has positoned the Labour party to be electable, to sit where the majority sit.
Are hard left socialists really typecasting Business or enterprise as the enemy of the state whilst championing a nutjob like Corbyn?
In the real world, true social justice costs money. Money that needs to come from somwhere and be sustainable.
Give me a Starmer type pragmatist over a Corbyn type fantacist any day.
