Also, you may not be aware but Goldson got offered to join Swansea last year but he rejected it to play first team football with us, I think that says a lot about the sort of player you are getting.

Disagree. 5 million + add one Is too much money to turn down for Dunk. Godson and the big German is good enough replacement. Would be surprised if Greer is still starting by the end of the season. Would imagine we've already spent a fair chunk of the Dunk money on the German, Murphy and Godson. We've got a better squad now with those 3 instead of Dunk IMO.

Meaning it's anything between 100k and 999k probably the upper end of that with addons.

Dunk's head, it seems, has been "turned" by the offer of more money. If the club get a decent fee for him then it's really hard, in the real world, to keep him if he wants to go. And perhaps as been said, he doesn't want to play for us anymore, if the rumours are true. Of course I wish it was different. We'd all have liked to see him stay but the cliche of the player's having all the power is right. Greer may be past his best but In my opinion, is still an excellent defender at this level. He's also the club captain and I'd expect him to continue with Hunemier with young Goldston starting on the bench, at least to start with.

Is it really really relevant to talk about Elphick in this context? Remember he wasn't going to start under Poyet so it made sense for him to move on... Bigger wages too. We got very good money for Hall too.

Godston, on paper, looks like a very good signing. I just hope the fee from the imminent Dunk sale will be spent on improving the team even more than it has been already.

Absolutely, a quick browse on here can confirm that we have more than our fair share.. Seen nothing but positives and well-wishes to him from your fans which is really nice to see.

Goldson seems passionate and very mature for his age, I think he'll fit in here perfectly.

Spot on! Finally someone with some sense. I love dunky and really don't want him to go but business is business at the end of the day. It was all doom and gloom when Bobby left but we managed ok didn't we?!

Never heard of him. But that is the case for the majority of our signings, pre-stripe, and i do not love them much the less at all. A good and wanted young defender. The squad is changing and a separation from the briefly hallowed days is no bad thing now. Good stuff.

I applaud the recruitment dept on this one and tbh (on paper) they have signed quality rather than quantity so far
