Celebrating her life with a mega concert at Wembley all live on BBC1.

Shame Coast is on BBC2 the best program.

I wonder if Harry and Wills have invited Al Fayed ???

Why on earth is there a concert for Diana? Makes no sense to me.

Well it is 10 years ago since she died or was murdered (dependant on your own view) and also would have been her 46th birthday today.

to quote the BBC website

The six-hour show is being broadcast to 145 countries, with proceeds from ticket sales going to charitable causes favoured by the princess.

Never did understand why the nation went ga ga ten years ago. Sad at her death , yes but mass hysteria?

Brace yourself then, as I have no doubt the impending tenth anniversary will require a 50 page pull out on her life in the Daily Express, accompanied by more conspiracy headlines to soothe their gullible readers' sense of longing.

I was never a fan of hers, of course it was sad for her family when she died, but I thought the national hysteria was way over the top.

I would like to know where all this money for the continuing enquiry is coming from? Assuming it is from public funds, how come nobody seems to be complaining about the endless dragging out of this utterly ridiculous saga? It must have cost millions by now, and for what? Was Diana really that important that her death justifies this expense? It cannot possibly be in the public interest.

There must be posters on here who've lost family or friends in car accidents. Were their deaths the subject of multi-million pound investigations? I just cannot see how it can be justified any longer. At the end of it all, they'll turn around and report that, shock horror, it was an accident, Fayed won't believe it, the Express will shout "Sham!", and nothing will change. Who cares any more??

If she'd been ugly it would all have been different.

She wasn't exactly great though. 6 out of 10 I'd say.

Correct. But compared to the rather equine looks of the other Royals, she was total media fodder, in their eyes like Elizabeth Taylor and Marilyn Monroe rolled into one.

Look how hysterical the tabloids get over William and Harry's allegedly stunning good looks: they're both distinctly average if you ask me. But when you come from a family (at least in William's case) who generally look like a cross between Shergar and Kenneth Williams, it's the only thing the paparazzos can cling on to.

Way out west
Most of the upper crust have looks akin to a horse, many of them also have speech impediments, comes from in-breeding I do believe. Prince William could do the Royal Famil a massive favour by marrying someone foreign, who has no links to any form of aristocracy, the royal gene pool is so shallow that if you dropped a pebble into it you would barely raise a splash.

Without wishing to offend anyone, this is the biggest pile of shit I've seen in years. I'm just waiting for Phil Collins to turn up so I can gob at the TV.
