I commented on the match day thread that I was pleased to see Foden go off but was less than pleased to watch this guy pretty well takeover the role. I thought he looked a brilliant prospect, quite a few disagreed and suggested he was average though. this is the guy who came on and played out wide? More as a winger than a midfielder?

So what? Why should that bother you? You can have a player, for minimal fee and make your team better, like we did with Colwill

Never have the player.

After qualifying for Europa, I know which I prefer.

So what if it develops the player? You benefitted from it as well. The players only going to get a loan somewhere else (because people want good players) so we might as well be the ones to benefit from it.

And even then if you still need something else, you could argue you have put yourself at the front of the queue (assuming the loan goes well) if ever the player leaves their parent club.

No brainer.

Depends on what the loan fee ends up being. If you can sign another Caicedo, Mitoma, Gross, Veltman etc etc for the same price I would rather us spend our money on that then a loan.
Of course that assumes an either-or situation, which is probably not realistic.

Yes, and look at the disaster unfolding with Levi… imagine if we had insisted on a permanent when he was signed on loan? We would now have the future England LCB in the building and would make an enormous profit once sold. No, it is a very bad idea.
