We would be far too much of a come down for him, having played for MASSIVE.Blimey. Under my radar. Cool.
Although my old mind initially jumped to Carlton Palmer.
I wouldn't say no either. This would be a good signing. No fee and nailed on quality. Lots of games to play next season.
Is the correct answer. Let’s not make the same mistake twiceTrouble with loans is the situation we have found ourselves in. We’ve coached Colwill to play in our system and now we probably will have to find another and go through the process again. We’ve also added millions to the Chelsea youngsters value in the process.
Not to a club that has Mitoma and Joao Pedro in his position and Enciso and Sarmiento desperate for game time.If you were Pep, looking for an opportunity for one of your hottest prospects to get game time and learn from one of the best coaches in England (if not Europe), where would you send him…?
We don't need that sort of rational perspective around here thankyou very much. Not to a club that has Mitoma and Joao Pedro in his position and Enciso and Sarmiento desperate for game time.
Tut, some people! We don't need that sort of rational perspective around here thankyou very much.
Still thought he was average, I’m sure we can improve him though…..I commented on the match day thread that I was pleased to see Foden go off but was less than pleased to watch this guy pretty well takeover the role. I thought he looked a brilliant prospect, quite a few disagreed and suggested he was average though. this is the guy who came on and played out wide? More as a winger than a midfielder?
If we have to have a loan I am 100% behind this one
Really? . . . something of an extreme reaction! In the name of god
Noooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
They've called stuff right in the past. Would be a good signing played a lot for city already. When do people learn anything the Sun print is tosh.
Exactly. No way Pep will send him over to be 3rd choice. He got more games at City.Given we will almost certainly sign more players on perms, which of our outstanding young players are people suggesting make way for Palmer?
Depends on what the loan fee ends up being. If you can sign another Caicedo, Mitoma, Gross, Veltman etc etc for the same price I would rather us spend our money on that then a loan. The being anti-loan thing is rather odd to me.
"I don't want to develop someone else's player"
So what? Why should that bother you? You can have a player, for minimal fee and make your team better, like we did with Colwill
Or
Never have the player.
After qualifying for Europa, I know which I prefer.
So what if it develops the player? You benefitted from it as well. The players only going to get a loan somewhere else (because people want good players) so we might as well be the ones to benefit from it.
And even then if you still need something else, you could argue you have put yourself at the front of the queue (assuming the loan goes well) if ever the player leaves their parent club.
No brainer.
Ps-he's quality. Yes please
Yes, and look at the disaster unfolding with Levi… imagine if we had insisted on a permanent when he was signed on loan? We would now have the future England LCB in the building and would make an enormous profit once sold. No, it is a very bad idea. The being anti-loan thing is rather odd to me.
