B*llocks. For a black eye? Not a chance in hell...........
Exactly, he'll just have a lovely shiner to show them.
Or put him on like this. Escape from Peterbrough.

It was accidental as you say but that in no way makes it a penalty. There were, as far as I can recall, no appeals and no remonstrations from the Albion players apart from Calderon claiming it was an elbow. Take into account the tweets from CMS as well. Apart from all that, don't you think the facepalm is a close representation of what happened (don't think there is quite one with a thumb in the eye itself).

If your raise your arms you run the risk. It was a blatant penalty as far as I'm concerned. Doesn't matter as we won anyway.

Two decisions but you try and make it sound like he was getting everything wrong. And quite clearly you got it totally wrong with regard to CMS. I always ready to knock refs but don't think he got too much wrong.

Read it again there are 4 examples there, thats not including several elbows that left players on the floor that were missed. I'm not saying the ref was a clown but he was poor, did the easy stuff averagely but not brave enough to make any real decisions.

OH how very f***ing condescending.

Did you not see the goal kick that was actually a corner or the throw given blatantly the wrong way(both in our favour) or the countless times Wood brought the ball down with his hands or the stamp by Maynard on Calderon? I could go on.

To coin a phrase "Take it you weren't at the game then".

Arrogant twat.

I totally agree, ref and linos had a poor game with some howlers. But CMS incident not a pen.

Because he was able to walk off yesterday we were saying at least it cant be a long term injury. However, that eye will never be ready for Tuesday night.

Saw him in Tesco's earlier on today, went all schoolboyish and plucked up the courage to speak to him. His eye looked bad but he said it was fine and would go down in a couple of days, Nothing to worry about.
And he shook my hand

Could it be that he had double vision and that was why he had to come off. If so once that has gone would he not be ok to play with a black eye and even possibly some swelling.

It's a black eye, there is no damage to his vision nor any concussion that we're aware of: essentially it's just a bruise. Any whack to the head or face always looks worse than it is because it swells up more. Therefore if he can see out of it (and with ice, the swelling should have gone down considerably in two and a half days) there should be no problem with him playing. Assuming he feels comfortable to do so, of course.
