I think most footballers with black eyes like that have generally got them at closing time rather than on the pitch. Ouch.

That is a horrible injury. Disgusting behaviour from the bristol player. Can charges be brought post match? Will be at least 3 weeks for that to completely go down. How did the ref not see the injury?

Possibly accidental but should have been a penalty. Their lads arm went up and across CMS's face.

just coz you get an injury like that, it doesnt automatically mean that the bristol farmer did it on purpose..accidents happen

It may well have been an accident, but something being an accident doesn't mean it isn't a foul.

What if a defender accidentally stumbles and crashes into a striker who is in the box with ball, knocking him over without touching the ball?

Indeed, I thought both players were chasing the ball down with the defender trying to shield the ball, cms tried to run around him and ran into the defenders' flailing arm  if it had been a brizzle striker I'm pretty sure that's how most on here would have seen it.

That'll hurt when he wakes up tomorrow. Pain killers will probably be needed. Hope the eye gets better very soon, CMS.

The Bristol City player should get a couple of games ban for doing that.

wasn't the first wrong decision from the ref though he was equally shit for both sides.I think he actually missed more than he saw.

Take it you weren't at the game then.

Ditto.
