IF we had Jason Roberts in our team last night instead of CMS we would have won 5-1..... Roberts = proper striker not a long distance runner

None of them were quality though, were they. Apart from the one in the first half where he should have been able to get away. I'd forgotten that one actually. That was disappointing.

there were plenty of decent crosses he got no where near - barnes was more threatening and again when he did get a clear cut opportunity to score from 8 yards out he fluffed his shot.... again. We got mugged paying premier league money for a league 1 striker.

How many actual chances has CMS MISSED though? He had one really good effort that required an excellent save off Federici. Early in the season he showed his poacher instinct with excellent goals against Leeds (two brilliant finishes) and his headers against Sunderland and someone else at home.

He is not a link up striker. that is evident. He is a player to sit on the last defender.

We rarely play a generic through ball and there is a simple reason why. Teams sit DEEP against us at home. We have a massive pitch and they know a high line against Buckley and CMS will be breached.

I still have massive faith in CMS. Many players heads would drop in a goalless run. Not his. He is still working his arse off and NEVER kicks up a stink if subbed for the good of the team.

Imagine if you have him feeding off someone like Roberts? All the hustle and bustle could be removed from his game and his FINISHING could then flourish.

Seriously, can people reel off a list of MISSED chances by him? I can't. The one time he was through last night and he was brought down. No penalty somehow.

Now you really are talking crap. He's been here 1 season. Se's scored 11, has a fair few assists and is second in that player ratings electronic pro zone thing for accurate passing, running, tackling, assists and goals.

It's just the price tag talking with you, why on earth would you want this player out of the club?

Better off getting rid of Ankers and getting a proper keeper as competition to Brez than getting rid of CMS.

Sorry but this thread is utter bollocks by JCL's
Goodnight

This JCL shite really pisses me off - I went to my first albion game in 1976 was season ticket holder at Gillingham and Withdean and that actually means f*** all - so if i had purchased my first season ticket this year so what. I would still think CMS isnt up to the job and certainly not worth whatever we paid for him. I love his endeavour but not good enough.

The keeper was able to crawl on his hands and knees to save it it was soooo tame!

I assume you've never heard of the word 'scrambled' as in the keeper had to 'scramble'.

It was hit at him quick, on his wrong foot, and he still directed a decent shot towards the corner. It was an excellent save

I think if you watch it again he clearly miss kicks the ball - which almost foxes the keeper as he would have expected a 2.5 million pound striker to smash it past him into the net??

Her is f***ing awful runs about ever now and then but whenever he gets the ball he loses it, can never pick a pass and always misses sitters. He would be out of place in ever team in this division - awful. Biggest mistake Gus has made since coming here.

3 million and 20,000 a week JOKE

One question. How many times did he get the ball passed to him, to feet or even close to him, in the 18yd box?

I can remember one and that was it. He managed to squeeze a left foot shot in, lacked a bit of power but was a tricky chance and a decent save from the keeper.

Most of the balls into him were with his back to goal 30-40yds from goal. Not many strikers would score many goals with that service. I admit that his first touch was not great tonight and a lot bounced off him.

I haven't given up on him yet and hope he stays with us.

Keep the faith.

Well said

Are you related to CMS?
I agree with the OP, CMS was the worst BHA player on the pitch tonight.
The team probably had their best 90 minutes of the season, yet, CMS let the side down. He is not up to the task. Gus must take much of the blame. A very good manager but unfortunately has failed to bring in a top or decent
forward to the club todate! Ferguson must have been laughing his socks off tonight.

Not sure what game you were watching last night,Gary Dicker was awful...passes were poor and not sure he tackled once all night !! CMS does not get any service unless KLL is on the pitch which is very rare.CMS is a player you need to see his number not his face running onto balls which we never play.
The team is set up almost to not have a striker and Vokes is another Paynter not sure what Gus is trying to achieve there !!

Is this is a joke? He was absolutely f***ing awful. Terrible. Every time the ball came to him it fumbled off his shin. It was woeful. He let the team down tonight.

Why the f*** did it take 80 minutes to get him off. I was so frustrated

You dont half talk crap. first 10 mins, his lay off play, movement and quick tempo was why we were pressing from the front. he deserved a penalty, would of scored in the second half if they didnt have the best keeper in the league.
he doesnt need to be tht typical target player when hes got vicente playing off him, its his job to run in behind and get the loose balls, which tonight didnt happen because federici rarely palmed or droped the ball.

ur comments are a joke, as is this thread.

want paynter back? or chris wood maybe? thought not.

gary dicker...at most 4 stray passes...two of which were when he was put on shit by jara reyes. didnt tackle once...prety sure he broke up at least 4 counter attacks to get vicente and navarro out of jail. if you want cms in the box...we need better full backs who play it in spaces...not into danger

Well yes, £20k a week is a joke....as that's NOT what he is on. I would love to hear what you think Vicente is on. You would be pleasently suprised.

Also, please entertain me and provide some examples of these MISSED SITTERS that you so confidently claim to have witnessed. My eyesight must be really bad for 25 years old.
