its what i think aswell, but im not really fussed as his here now, and i think will take the club forward. I think big sam is a bit bitter about the move, but he has turned down some big clubs to come here and to me i can only think have offered better wages.

And before people say West Ham etc.... can over better wages, they probably can but they also know limits, CMS has not really performed at this level yet. Maybe thats why they didnt match Brightons offer, and if it is as high as you say it is then im not surprised.
Sorry has played at this level when Peterbo went up two seasons ago,he scored 14 goals!

There's alot more I know about Palarse along with a host of other clubs, line of work means I can't avoid it at times - shame I don't get the same inside info on BHA.

The fact I know what I know makes reading this board rather amusing at times - but do carry on....

Oh dear Paul, wage cap??!!

I think you will find Ambrose in on just shy of £15k a week - he has apparently asked to match Glenn Murray's wage but Palace are reluctant due to your poor season ticket sales, hence the interest from BHA as his agent has been touting him about - apparently Gus is not keen.

Take it or leave it - that's the truth. I doubt very much you know otherwise.
a) Poor ticket sales, we've sold more than this point last year. So, you're wrong there. And because the Chairmen are no longer having to honour some of Jordan's season tickets, they have made a hell of a lot more out of season tickets this year compared to last year.

b) The wage cap is £12k. That is a fact. And i've been told that my more than one person. And unless you are calling the chairmen's sons liars as well as some of the Coaches, then...

c) Ambrose and Danns would have been the joint highest paid players at £12k per week had Danns chose to stay. Instead he went to nearly double his wages at Leicester. Ambrose, Speroni, Paddy are the 3 highest in the squad.

And if you want further clarification, Gardner asked for £16k per week and was told it'd break the wage cap by a distance, hence why we've moved elsewhere.

10k wage cap so might get 1k a goal and 1k a win, maybe the palace fan expects us to win 2 games a week and CMS to get 5 in each. Bit over the top that but

Haven't read the whole thread but it wouldn't surprise me if he is on that sort of money. I have been told by what I consider to be a reliable source that one of ours was on around the £1m a year mark plus bonuses last season. Seems to be the way the Championship is heading ...

by virtue of this pie in the sky wage, av 20k a week, i would suggest the source is not reliable. who would be worth that? how could we afford that?

When I say one of ours, I am talking QPR last season. I think some were even higher. Seems to be the way of the Championship. It's not sustainable ... Our debts are now supposed to be somewhere around the £40-50m Mark. The billionaires haven't invested ... It' s all repayable loans. Hopefully Bloom is doing things properly.

I would LOVE to know what the other players really thought of him, whether he's just the quiet type or whether they do, in fact, think he's actually a massive twat.

Still a decent player, mind.

I loved Glenn Murray as a player. He was quality. Like most players he looked at his best when we were playing well, winning and he was enjoying his football.

However - even then he could look a mardy-arse. And when things were not going well - he could look downright lazy and disinterested. And that is what could happen to him at Palace. He struggles to find his feet in the Championship against quicker, bigger defenders. His head drops (it looks half-way there at the best of times) and he starts thinking "what have I done, where are you Elliot ?". This is not unlikely. Of course, it may be that he has his second 20 goal season at the highest level he has played at - but that is the beauty of the game.

For going to Palace, and thinking he can still live in Brighton - I hope he fails.
