Also CMS isn't a natural goal scorer, he's in the Ormerod ilk in that he works bloody hard, will never give up and for that poaches goals. Had he been in any other side last year, he wouldn't have got that many goals. All imo.

I think he may score more in our side. We do create some chances.

Lambert is ok - better to have him than not. But he is a bit of a blunt instrument that can kick a ball very hard.

Why would I be jealous? we are 'richer' than you....

I'd also take Lambert up top over CMS any day due to his all round contribution as well as goal scoring ability.
Yeah of course you are, christ how many clubs have we seen with billionaire chairmans struggle financially because the wealthy owners don't dig in.

Heard it all before:moo:

I think the rumour spreading media mongrel Nigel may need a new hearing aid. His source actually told him CMS will be PLAYING in front of 22,500 a week at Albion (rather than say 13k at Smellhurst) not that Albion will be PAYING him that...

Many clubs in this division pay 20k a week to certain players,we can actually afford to have a few on that and plenty on 5-6k a week,i would say he's on about 15k a week:)

Some of you who think 10k max are deluded as you don't splash out 3 million on a player and give him a silly wage:)

Would be nice to hear you say that on a Palace messageboard! Although I can't genuinely remember the last time a Clowntown fan did anything of the sort

Ben isn't one for bullshit. He rarely posts information, but when he does, he's right.

And if he was going to make it up, it'd have been done a lot sooner than a week after the transfer.

Personally, I don't care what he's on. If you want to throw money to get a player, then fair enough. If it works, it's a drop in the ocean of the money you can get, especially from a re-sale value.

Absolutely right. As long as what he earns comes from season ticket, corporate and other revenue and it is affordable (which it is) then its between him and the club. If he scores 20 goals and Brighton go up then that will be money well spent also. If he doesn't then that is football.

So you are in agreement then... If BHA wanted to keep hold of Murray we could have, however, we didn't want to meet his wage demands?!

I don't think anyone denies this now, although we received Murray on a free and clearly on less wages. You have paid 2.5 million plus extra wages for someone who scord 5 league goals more.

By the sounds of it, you're trying to follow the Mark Goldberg business strategy!

Not quite mate, the spending is being paid for with season ticket sales, never mind corporate revenue. Palace borrowed other people's money to keep themselves in the championship then failed to pay them back

I know for a fact that Murray is on a £16k per week, a £2K goal bonus and £450k per year for keeping you up.

So not far off what we are allegedly paying CMS.

So when do you reckon you will go into admin - I reckon around Easter time.

This is not true, yes he can kick a ball hard, but he also has a fantastic touch and vision which helped him achieve 20+ assists the season before last and a similar amount last season. All he lacks is pace. That said I tthink he'll bag 20 goals for us again this season with the midfield that will feed him.

--------------Cork---Schneiderlin

Chambo-----------Guly----------------Lallana

Should provide a hell of a lot of chances for him. Will be interseting to see how we both get on this year, you've made a hell of a lot of changes where as we're looking at 2/3 signings, Cork being the first of those who is Prem Quality.

Its not always about goal ratio even though CMS actually scored 35 goals last season in all competitions, murray recieved quality service while CMS made most himself.

If I had a pound for everytime I'd heard you say that, I could pay them back myself.

Seriously, you need to find a new routine. You're quite boring now, don't you have someones metre to read or boiler to fix?
