"Club Statement" - Loads of Bollocks

The Argus website is a good indicator for the general feeling of the public? :lolol:

Every single article (news AND sport) is plagued with critical comments. I trust that you are not in the legal sphere. TWO comments from aliases does not point towards a majoity in favour of kicking the board out. In fact, it is quite laughable that anyone would even entertain that sort of 'evidence' as being wholesome.

I would suggest that 5,000+ people turning up to Withdean and NOT demanding that the board be sacked was evidence enough. I haven't heard any sort of singing against the board. Presumably you haven't, if you turn up at all?

The supporters of this Club have an honourable record of campaigning against past Chairmen.

But they have done so openly and without hiding behind the anonymity of internet identities.

If you want Dick Knight out, now is the time to reveal who you are.

Reveal yourselves.

The club are obviously sufficently worried about the back lash that is likely to come as it is revealed that it seems Hammond was "pushed" rather than walking from the club that they feel the need to put their spin on things.

Although there seem to be a few things that i doubt are quite true;

1. I am doubtful he would have been offered more money than Forster, given the kind of money he must have been on previously, having signed his previous contract when he wasn't in such a strong position

2.The claim a get out clause was offered i think is frankly bollocks. As had he been offered a clause to get out for free, or very little.... i think it is almost certian that he would have signed, it would have put him on (apparently) very good money until the summer, when he could go or stay....... Leaving him in a great position.

Knight just realises that his foul play tactics of forcing a player out of the club, by threatening to not even play him in the reserves has left alot of people with a bitter taste in their mouth, and he is try to Sweet talk his way into looking like the good guy................ Fat chance Knight. Pack your bags.

I cant believe some people on this board, In the transfer window we have signed more players than we've lost, strenghtened the forwards, brought in new midfielders, yet to read posts like yours, you would believe there is no-one left here, and they can strenghten further in the loan window which opens soon

As said already, how do you know the details of any of the players contracts or what was actually offered to Hammond to sign, I bet you would still cry conspiracy if the club now proved their side of this story to be true by making the actual contract for Hammond to sign public information, because you have such a negative, low opinion of someone who, along with the rest of the board, have done, and still are doing a brilliant job in running this club and trying as best they can to not only improve the squad when they can, but also the difficult job of getting the new stadium built.

To say we should have given him a new contract with the option of him leaving for free or very little at the end of the season is just stupidity, why then by giving him a bigger paycheck for a couple of months is he then going to sign for us for next season.
Surely if a decent offer was tabled, the club were right to cash in on it, it cost the club to train him and bring him up through the ranks, so why shouldn't they look to recoup money on their investment, rather than lose it for nothing, a football club is a business after all, you still have to try to balance the books whoever you are.

This surely is a time for those missing fans to return, their is a buzz again with the new signings, yet idiots like you set out to cast yet more doom and gloom over this great club, the phrase making mountains out of molehills comes to mind here, seeing and reading things into something that isn;t there.

i think one is entitled to their own opinion.

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!! I just loath people who use this line on radio phone-ins, chat shows etc to back their ridiculous arguments!! You're not ENTITLED to anything pal - especially if it's based on absolute, downright, feeble-minded bullshit which you've got no evidence for.:angry::angry::angry:

I think that DICK is expecting a backlash from the whole Dean Hammond affair and that is no more than he deserves - at the end of the day he HAS lied to fans and now he is trying to worm his way out of it - Dick Please Please stop lying to the fans - you have lost 5 and gained 4 - HOW ON EARTH IS THAT STRENGHTENING THE SQUAD

I've flicked through you back catalogue of posts and they almost all seem to be about Dick Knight and Dean Hammond. You wouldn't happen to have an agenda would you?

Dean Hammond tried playing hard ball and pedalled a lie about wanting to play higher level football - the went to Colchester. DK called his bluff and made the best of a bad situation.

Have you ever run a large company? Until you have that kind of experience and knowledge please end your spouting now. It's pure, ugly, ignorant and prejudiced tosh.
