[Albion] Club selling your seat, is this right?

There are numerous posts suggesting there must be more to the listing of the resold tickets suggesting something not being revealed by the sanctioned STH

What I haven't seen suggested though is that the club, or rather a club employee, has simply made a mistake in picking out the STH in question for 'punishment'.
My thought too. The OP's vehement insistence that there is no hidden extra information means the only possible explanation is an error on the part of the club's admin.

Are you saying the whole "the club is EVIL" theory isn't watertight?

The problem is with modern football rather than any one club or individual. It shouldn’t be possible to just remove something someone’s paid for, just as at other clubs it shouldn’t be possible to remove concessions for youngsters and OAPs. This is exactly why fans and government want a regulator. Premier League clubs - ALL Premier League clubs - have brought it on themselves.

"I’m sure i’ve seen other posts from ST holders who have received emails from the club advising that due to poor attendance they are relisting the seat for the rest of the season.
If so were you able to challenge this and if the ticket is paid for every month are they allowed
to do this ? My partner received an email today
he has health problems and suffers from anxiety so we often dont know if he can attend a game
until a couple of hours before kick off
i think this is disgusting treatment of loyal fans and has caused upset for him .We’ve had 3
season tickets since the stadium opened which have been paid for every month without fail"

Do you really think there is a change in policy?

If so, perhaps someone like you (but probably not you) needs to have a word with the club.

But again, unfortunate though this case may be, the complainant gives the impression they think they have an entitlement to not turn up and not put the ticket on the exchange.

Finally, are there now three examples of this, or just two, or dozens or hundreds?
Do we have the season ticket equivalent of the Post Office Scandal on our hands?
Has someone been instructing ticketing staff to up the ante and lay the boot in?

There must be facts. What are they?

It could simply be a week of tomfoolery generated by someone in the office providing inappropriate instructions.
Shit doesn't often happen at the Albion but on this occasion maybe shit has happened.
As noted above, can you moderators not construct a communication to the club expressing your concerns?

It doesn't help that a minority have dragged us down into a Bloom is Bad, Knight is Good path, annoying the crap of of people like me, in the process.

As I've said elsewhere, I am perplexed by the rush to take season tickets off people when I don't believe there is a waiting list for STs anymore

I know some other clubs (man city) are not issuing new STs when people give them up or die, preferring to sell them as single game ticket packages via their own travel partners

I also have had the experience of selling tickets on the exchange and coming to the next game to be told by people near me that away fans ended up sitting in them (arsenal last season being an example)
It always p155es me off knowing these away fans get in home section. Im.sick.of it and expect this entitled Arsenal lot will pop up in the home stands just like all the London clubs. Brentford the exception

If it was me - before slagging the club off on Facebook, I’d call the club to explain what’s going on. Hopefully the club would show compassion. If not, then go to FB.

Precisely.

And see my comments/questions above.

And please, can a moderator who has contact with the club find out what the f*** is going on.
NSC should not be a 'no smoke without fire' vehicle for reposting unverifiable entitled shit attacking the club, if that's what it is.
Presently we have no way of knowing

If I may, calling @Guinness Boy

I don't know.

It might be as simple as the ticketing platform - which is an off-the-shelf solution - has "bad fans aren't using their tickets, so list them for sale" functionality built into it.

It could be the club have seen an uptick in fans not using their tickets and not bothering to list them for re-sale and want to stop that from happening.

From everything I've read - including the "warning" email I received for my son when he missed two games and I hadn't listed his seat - I think the mitigation is simply putting the ticket on the exchange, even if it doesn't sell.

Mrs Earle has probably only missed one match this season, but was angered by the 'threat letter' after a very late call not to go to the Man City match for health reasons. The letter arrived by email on the Monday after the game. Suffice to say, she was so stressed by the letter that she was all for not renewing her ticket for next season to avoid the stress of feeling forced to go.

Thanks.

Ironically I may not be able to go tomorrow as I seem to have carked my right knee today while cycling (the one that needs replacing) and it will be too late in the morning to do anything about it if my Lazarus gene has gone on holiday.

And then if I get a letter I will probably turn into Violet Elizabeth Bott.

Otherwise, hope to see you tomorrow. It's been a while and I owe you a hug. Possibly two.

If you can't go just log into the ticketing site and list your ticket. That will ensure you won't get moaned at, and you might get £35 or so back as a bonus.

But I hope you can go, mainly because I want that hug(s)!

You’ve hever offered me a hug when we’ve talked about meeting up a drink …I feel slighted 🤔
…I’m gonna find a tree to have a drink with instead

Hugs can be three-way.

So says Ivor Capilin, anyway.

I will be in the usual place tomorrow at around 3.30 if the knee permits. You have my number, right? x

Ive posted previously i know a STH doesnt wanna list a ticket because if game doesnt go ahead (postponed abandonded etc) you cant claim.it back. Not sure what the solution is here as I can see both points of view. As far as im aware he hasnt missed a match so far this season but 2 games and a warning seems very harsh.
