[Albion] Club cancelling ST due to non-attendance

I have to agree that there is very little that the club can do to stop away fans buying tickets. The only thing is that away fans would lie on the purchase page thus throwing them out is quite legal.
Just annoyed that if WE knowingly bring an away mate, lend our seat to a home mate or take the wrong named person we get a long ban.
Do you want the club to ban itself from selling tickets ?

Here is another take.

We no longer get gates of 2500 at Gillingham or 6000 at Withdean.

We are no longer in divisions 3 and 4.

We are no longer on telly once a year whether we want to watch or not.

We are no longer owned by Dick Tight and his tiny pot that he can't even piss in.

If you want to survive in a rewarding but hostile environment, you have to wear the right gear, have the right equipment, and know what the f*** you are doing.

That includes protecting the business.

Anyone who doesn't understand that or doesn't like it, Lewes, Crawley, Worthing and other amateur outfits are available for a cheery pint, PotG and possibly even a free car park.

Godspeed.

It’s another take but a really divisive one. Written like a PBOBE acolyte to fans who feel disenfranchised. Telling your fellow fans that there’s no place for them at BHAFC is disgusting.

It’s pretty reading for the officials at the club - finger pointing on leaving early, not singing, not attending matches etc etc.

Sorry, but the club means different things to different people but suggesting we just put up with and shut up is what PBOBE and others want.

Indeed.

I have found a way around much of this though. I have a growing friends and family list.

The downside is my two brothers are even more neurodiverse than me and cannot fathom how to get their tickets on their phones even after I have set it all up and paid for it. The silly buggers.

Happy New Year

East Upper and I've mentioned this before. Even emailed the club about it. There are many empty seats around us that have different people each match, 100% not ST holders. They are available on the ticket site from day one of sales.
They've gone to many many Japanese who are great tourists with their bags stuffed from the store and home fans who can only make the odd game.
This season an Ipswich fan who lives local and cames with Brighton fans. No problem and we chatted all game.
Spurs, away fan with what seemed a weekend away. Well behaved, no problem.
Worst was a year or so back when a Wolves fan got in wearing a Wolves hat. Started vaping and blowing smoke in my direction so I asked him to stop. Then he got a pint from somewhere (he must have been a magician) and started drinking it. Called steward over and he was ejected.
I can put up with knowledgable fans who come to support the away team but have a sensable chat about football.
Loud mouths putting down BHA get kicked out.
But back to the point, these seats are sold by the club to away fans, something that I'd get a ban for doing.
It can’t be stopped - the club won’t know about it.

I personally know people who are 100% not Albion fans (four Chelsea, two Arsenal, one Newcastle and two Spurs without even thinking about it) who have A+ memberships so they can go to the occasional game, and 3 more (2 x Arsenal and 1 x Spurs) who are ST holders. They all go to their ‘first club’ games at the Amex, obviously.

If they act like pricks they need to be called out - as do any of our own

Ah. You think it is a conspiracy? And that I support it?

We had a disagreement a while back that transpired to be over a misunderstanding on your part, and a lack of precision and clarity and balance in your reply.

Your post above is drivel and bollocks from start to finish, based on false assumptions, willful miss-reading of what I have written, malice and ignorance.

I have a strange sense of déjà vu, all over again.

I am not going to put you on ignore because I feel you need to be held to account.
You can't go around writing shit like that (above) and have it unchallenged.

Aside from anything else, I am a serial early leaver so I would hardly point a finger at early leavers, would I? I revel in it!
Talk about weaving a load of nonsense prejudice into an incoherent narrative.

I suggest you pull your knickers up and make me a cup of tea.

Oh my god….hilarious.

It’s difficult to be held to account by someone who wrote what you did.

As for the line about knickers and making you a cup of tea…what a knuckle dragging, rank response.

Absolutely pathetic on your it part and your usual mindless, self entitled waffle is really only for your own amusement.

On the point of selling tickets to away fans, if someone has a local-ish address and is new to the Albion's database, how do they determine whether it is an away fan or simply a new genuine member coming to their first game? I guess it is a tricky issue to solve.
On the flip side of course, there are those such as you and I who have very non-local addresses - if we were to buy tickets for Albion vs Newcastle at the Amex, would someone at the club seeing just our addresses think at a glance we were away fans?

Well this thread is turning into marvellous entertainment :lolol:
Never underestimate NSC's unfailing ability to turn a genuine question into a full-blown argument complete with insults.

So it has always been, so it shall always be.
Meet the new year, same as the old year.

Wishing the mods all the best in advance for 2025. :)

The argument is fine, the insults aren’t.

Make your mind up.

I would hope in that instance that they'd look at purchase history etc. If it was a first time fan genuinely from the North East making their first trip to the Amex, a phone call to the club would probably be in order!

Are you ok? I don't think it's healthy for people to agree with what the club do every single time, Paul Barber for the fact he is very good at his job, is poor at admitting when he got something wrong. I think people should always be ready to question Bloom and Barber when they think they've got something wrong, otherwise we just end up having thousands of Yes men, who can never see anything wrong. I think there are aspects of what has changed since the Amex/PL which have changed for the worse.

I don't agree with everything the club do and have raised some issues with PB. I also don't see any evidence that anyone on this thread or, for that matter any other thread, have stated they blindly agree with every single thing the club do. Unfortunately though, we have some neanderthals who, when something isn't aligned to their choices, start acting like our club is more akin to City or Spurs and the like.
