But arent Evans and Danny Baker very good friends. Baker is a genius but not sure about his mate. Very clever but self obsessed.
Evans lent Baker £20,000+ when DB was ill and unable to work.

How does anyone know that? Not saying that as an insult to Evans, I'm sure he would do that for a friend but how does anyone know he did that?

I think that the anti Evans brigade are going a bit over the top here. How exactly do you fill 3 hours of air time every weekday without talk about elements of your own life creeping in?

His obsession with cars is tedious to anyone who does not share that passion, and yes he can talk about his life outside of work somewhat. But who doesn't? I think the guy does a pretty good job and i would far prefer to listen to him than most of his critics droning on.

Many other people manage to do 3 hours without being a self satisfied dullard. Besides, it's not only his radio show, everytime I ever see him on anything he's spouting off about how great he is. He's the celebrity for people with no imagination, middle of the road 40 somethings who need to be told what to like and listen to and regard wearing a floral shirt as an outrageous act to remind everyone that they still have a wild side. .... Dull man, dull.

Danny's Desert Island Discs is very enlightening.

He only lives of the day, and has nothing to fall back on.

Him and his young family rock up in New York.
They arrive at THE hotel (name escapes me) only to be told there are no rooms, except the x amount of thousands of dollars a night Presidential suite (for visiting Presidents).
Instead of going elsewhere DB's first thought is 'how often do you get to stay in a room like that', and books it up.

That's how he rolls, and instead of changing opinion, the cancer has validated it.
It's well worth a listen.

Because danny baker mentioned it in an interview, i think the figure was nearer 50k.

That can't be knocked. Still think Evans is a bore though.

Turn it in mate, NSC has seen enough binfests of late don't you think? I'm talking about Chris Evans being a bore. You don't agree. Fine. No need for adolescent sniping eh?

So who do you listen to? Sounds like you like the sound of your own voice?

Do you narrate your own life?

Is that a genuine question or an insult? If it's a question, I don't like many presenters it's true. I like Lisa Tarbuck, Stephen Fry, Huey Morgan, and various shows on R4. If I'm honest I can't stand innane chatter, people like Evans, I know it's what he's paid for etc, doesn't mean I can't have an opinion does it?

If it's an insult . Get f***ed.

It was a question

Stephen fry? Now THERE'S a man so far up his own backside

You find the other guys bores? Fry is the most mundane man on the planet

Yeah, he can be irritating but he does some interesting programs and I quite like his turn of phrase. I think he is the antithesis of mundane though.I tend to flick around on the radio and stop at what I find interesting, I will always find Fry more interesting than Evans but I wouldn't rule out listening to Evan's show if he had someone interesting on but I don't think they do guests on the morning show? May be wrong.

Always listen the the Chris Evans show. I love the fact he's positive about everything.

Radio 1 is only for brain dead mongs. Loads of "cool" chat about "cool" bands and loads of other crap.

I think you're confusing him with Chris "I'm a fat ugly unfunny twat" Moyles !!!!!
