No team in history spends that money and doesn’t win the vast majority of games. PSG, Real, Citeh.

But the key question is will Potter be trusted by Boehly to land Champions League and EPL titles? What’s his unique attribute that makes him the equal of Ten Hag and Guardiola?

The thing is if they were always going to spend the money they have they didn't need to gamble on Potter. Tuchel would have been a safer bet.

Surely potters skill set is working with second tier players and greeting them playing at a higher level. More a kind of spurs project.

It could all work out for him and he may crack it and get them playing brilliant football at the highest level, but . . . There always seems the potential for impotency up front. Surely this isn't an option for a team with top level aspirations.

What I read when he took over suggested a coherent plan of how to take Chelsea forward. The first few moves seemed to follow that plan.
