I love Georginio. He's clearly a very good footballer who has come to the right club in us.

Why on earth would you chase him if you had £100m to spunk on one of our forward players and not go for Pedro or Mitoma first?

Higher ceiling imho. Mitoma is at his peak. Close between JP and GR but GR has outstanding physical attributes. If he improves his finishing and gets even stronger on the ball he’ll be pretty much unplayable.

Chelsea need to initially bid £200M for both players to be taken seriously.

I know how we roll but f*** me it’s depressing how we are so happy to move players on for the “right offer”

It would be great if just now and again we went out of our way to actually try and keep players. No other club since Saints seem to sell their star players as often as we do. Not that I am suggesting Carlos wants out, the “sounding out”, if true, sounds ominous though.

Going to be fascinating to see if Bournemouth and Forest roll over as easily in the summer window and if their best players are as keen to move on as ours have been

Chelsea's recruitment policy = track the Albion's recruitment algorithm then cherry pick the pick of the crop for the "right offer". As you say, depressing

Damn right is depressing and dare I say inevitable, probably affects the crowd too to be honest, I worry that the production line will dry up, we all knew when Bissouma left we had Caicedo to step into his shoes, when he left we knew that Baleba was waiting to take over.
Who do we have in the production line to take over from Baleba ?

I hope the club were less diplomatic than simply saying "no"
I suspect that the club needed no diplomacy as Chelsea have likely made no enquiry about either of them !

If we don’t let players move on to big clubs when the time is right, we won’t get their replacements through the door to start with

Yalcouye? Ideally Baleba would still be here whilst he was integrated.

I don't disagree with what you're saying, but in that particular case, the answer is Yalcouyé.

I think the opposite.

The only players we've sold have wanted out and made it clear they want out. What would you recommend we do at that point? Keep a sulky player and watch his form/value plummet or maximise the fee?

We basically locked Moises away during a January window (after "his" instagram post) to stop him going to Arsenal.

Then sold him reluctantly for a British record 115m in the summer.

I'm sure if he (and the rest of them) wanted to stay then we wouldn't have sold, we didn't "need" the money.

WTF did that come from ? Biss, White, Trossard, Cucurella, Caecido, Sanchez, I don't believe we have been 'happy' to move any of them on, but when they've been offered three times the salary on a longer contract and Champions League football, what do you suggest we do. Try and bankrupt the club for a season of glory
