You are having a larf, aren’t you?
Why? Not suggesting pitch invasions or the like. But complaints by our genteel customer base of rudeness, aggression, homophobic chanting, drunkenness, vandalism and possible racism by the Chelsea hordes. If this happens on a widespread scale then PB will be getting the blame for allowing more than necessary to come to the game. Plod may not be too happy either.

Dreadful home form, 7-0 walloping on Saturday, injury prone squad in disarray and the potential (though this would need us to play well) for the game to finish at 10.45 with only one main line service possible to connect onto. And it’s on telly.

Feel free to use any of that in a cheery promotional poster Paul. No charge.
You have sold me.

I'm going* now.

(the clincher was 'disarray')

*to watch it on telly. Well, the first half. Some of the first half.

Looking on the bright side it will soon be spring.

P.S. If, as you say, Chelsea have been given an allocation of 6,000 why would they want to be in the home ends? By the way, for FA Cup ties the away club is entitled to 15% of ground capacity - that’s 4,770 for the Amex. On the basis that Chelsea are taking up the whole of the South Stand and corners an extra 1000+ is no big deal. We’ll all get over it if we win and won’t give a toss if we lose.

It'll likely be the Sussex armchair supporters in the Home stands, never been to Stamford Bridge, taking the once in their lifetime opportunity to see the team in the flesh (without having to travel all the way to London).

Blimey, if you want doom and gloom you should have been at the City Ground at around 2.30 on Saturday. Also, referring to your post would it be any different to any other club visiting the Amex. I was at the Chelsea game back in August 83 and the Spurs game in 1978. Yes, everything that went on was awful, but really we’ve moved on from there. As at any match these days you will get some fans being complete knobheads - the vast majority of fans will travel to the game, watch the game and travel back from the game without incident. It’s hardly Armageddon.

This may sound stupid, but if 11K home fans* cant be bothered to watch their team play because of bad transport and late KO, why are Chelsea fans selling out 6K?
Oh, because they're local! I understand certian people cant make it and it's not cheap for families.

*27K most games, 16K sold for Saturday?

So there’s 6k instead of 5k? So? We have to give them the 5k as per the FA cup rules. It’s not like the game is selling out & these are tickets Albion fans should have had.

Done a Frexit, now in London
Charlton gave us 6,000 out of a gate of 17,000 a couple of seasons ago. I wonder if some of their fans made a massive fuss about it at the time?

We had more fans than them that night, but they had the better night.

Chelsea plastics will enjoy their day out. I'm sure we'll roll out the red (blue) carpet and give them a lovely welcome, serve them their favourite beers and food and gift them a 'bye' onto the next round while thanking them for their support.

Brighton & Hove Albion charity style.

Not agree to an 8pm Saturday night kick off where getting home (especially if ET /pens) will prove difficult to say the least....
The Club probably do not have such power, the police might however.

Loads of away fans is no big deal in this instance, Stamford Bridge being one of the quieter grounds.

We have always had low demand for cup games.
Unless its Liverpool or Arsenal or Palace.

The reason Chelsea can sell 6K tickets is because they have more supporters than Brighton, having won multiple league titles and cups, even becoming champions of Europe. Twice I think (can't remember - don't like them).
We have won the sum total of f*** all and therefore don't have the 'reach' of 'your Chelseas, Manchester Uniteds and Liverpools'.

Later today I will be explaining why I struggle to get a suntan in Kent in February, and why England cannot tell the EU what to do.

Yeah.

We should kettle them into a stinky pen with one stinky toilet and no concessions.
Then the police should chase them out at full time, tonking them with their truncheons.

Its all a bit pathetic isn't it. Make the away fans feel as comfy as possible and then we might win a best stadium award! No other clubs makes away fans feel as comfy as we do, it gives an advantage, but tbf, our team on the pitch seems to be giving the opposition an advantage at the moment.

You have been on great form this weekend.

Thank you for making NSC bearable after Saturday's result.
