Fellow Fans, This is the first year I have had the capacity and wherewithal to be able to purchase a season ticket. The new stadium is truly fantastic and long long overdue for the club and for the people of this superb city of ours. To be able to participate in recent events has been wonderful for me. The atmosphere is truly great. I have held back for a fair few weeks now to air my grievances over discrepencies in the opening of the new stadium and how I believe things should be perfected. Hey, guys I know its early days and a good job has been done so far but here are mine. Please bear in mind I have been to EVERY game since we opened.
Catering - way below standard, although queue problem slightly improved since opening.
Catering Prices - way too high for below standard fodder that is far surpassed by a burger van!
Stewards - Well, what can I say - here we go, absolute ner do wells, not all of them (as a forty odd year old woman to be confiscated a bottle of perfume out of my handbag and told to collect at the end of the game is absolutely disgusting)
Stewards/Body Searching - Now this happened to me at Withdean and now flipping bag searching at AMEX - I actually feel this is a bloody infringement on MY human rights. Its totally degrading and bloody well unnecessary.
Bottle Tops: Upon purchasing a bottle of water (yes water), I was informed by the serving member of staff that in the interests of health and safety my bottle top had to be removed - what a load of absolute shite! There are people in the stadium with bloody heavy metal flasks full of soup and other people with bottle tops on their drinks - pissed off I was (especially after having said bottle of perfume confiscated - which I then had to collect at end of game!)
Anyway, nuff said for now, Mr Bloom and Co, hope you check in on all your supporters chat and all points are taken on board. I know its early days but seriously I hope this club does not try to run before it can walk. PR is a very powerful machine - take care to treat your fans with the respect they deserve after all the years they have been waiting for this!

Pipe down love, that post was a load of drivel.

Go to many any stadium around the country and the rules are the same.

and for the record the difference between hot soup and perfume/deodorant one is flammable the other isn't.

I don't know where you've been living the last few years Sunset but ...

Catering - way below what standard? Maybe way below the standard of a Michelin starred restaurant, but ruddy good for a football ground.
Prices - they seem pretty decent value to me, I've certainly paid a lot more elsewhere. Have you been to Wembley?
Stewards - you won't get into any ground with a bottle of anything, whether it's perfume or piss, they aren't going to let a bottle in.
Body Searches - they have been around since the 80's at football grounds.
Bottle tops - yeah, I agree it's odd, but again, it has become pretty standard, and presumably deemed to be an easier projectile to lob than say a thermos flask.

What a load of tripe.

1) Catering is well below 'standard'. What's standard? Some reports of cold food, lots of praising for other stuff, pies in particular. Teething problems? Yeah a few, to be expected.
2) Catering prices. They are the norm for a football ground. What do you expect, Tony Bloom to take a hit on food after already forking out £100 million on a stadium?!
3) Stewards don't make the rules. You can't bring bottled liquids or anything that may be deemed a safety hazard in a football ground. Yeah, it's "health and safety" gone mad, but it's not their fault. At least you could go and pick it up afterwards.
4) Body searching - standard practice at football ground, to prevent weapons being taken in the stadium. Again, it's unlikely they'll find anything, but unfortunately necessary in this day and age.
5) Bottle tops. Again, standard practice at football grounds. It only takes one idiot to throw one and someone could get seriously hurt. So they give you a plastic cup. Is this a problem? No.

Stop f***ing whining about nothing. If you're going to moan, find something sensible to moan about. At the moment, the vast majority of problems seem to be things that can be improved upon. It's only the midweek travel that's looking like causing any real alarm.

edit: looks like Gritt23 beat me to it!

"I have held back for a fair few weeks now to air my grievances over discrepencies in the opening of the new stadium and how I believe things should be perfected."

How many weeks is this exactly? There have been 2 Ramp up events and 2 competitive games within 4 days of each other. Why do you not think you should have your bag searched? What is the problem with that? Infringement of your human rights? No, No it is not in any way whatsoever

Leg out of the bed
I bought an ex g/f some perfume. She asked what it was called. I said, 'It's called 'Come To Me'...', to which she replied, 'It doesn't smell like come to me!...'

Bottle tops aren't allowed because a bottle of water/pepsi luzzed from the top of the west upper would bloody hurt if it hit you sat in the lower (not stand specific of course, other stands are available). But without top, all the content would spill out and become a very light, non dangerous thing.

And what do you need perfume at a football match for? Were you on the pull?
