Haha. So wrong but I did just laugh out loud.

Sorry that picture is obscene. Not funny at all. And this thread is full of misogynistic shit. By all means disagree with the OP but berating her for being female is out of order.

It was the 'so to summarise' followed by the obscene pic that made it funny! Jesus people are too serious these days! Calm yourself down dear...

At least no one has suggested it's the wrong time of the month... Yet

I was allowed the privilege of retaining my bottle cap in the WSU last night for some reason.

I did, however, manage to resist the urge to throw it at anyone (which, sitting in the very front row, I could easily have done should I have wished to).

That was to all of you sexist boys!

By the way I think the bar and food is great. Ive been in North and West stand and loved them both. The kids meals and the beer were decent value. I dont have a problem with the bag search. I am tempted to put something rude in though to make the stewards blush!

At the familiarisation event they had Thai and Chinese meals on the menu - are they still being served and, if so, could these be the food she was referring to? I seem to remember someone saying they were cold when they ordered one. I would assume she didn't try the pies. As for the perfume, I expect you only do that once and from then on it's left at home.

Good suggestion about the spare bottle top - I've used it a few times at away games but never had the top removed at a home game (apart from the first game or two at Withdean).

All in all I would mark this down as teething problems for a new STH who possibly had different expectations of what the new stadium would be like. The only thing that's likely to be a continuous problem is the 'pat downs' and they will continue if you look like you're concealing something.

Fellow Fans, This is the first year I have had the capacity and wherewithal to be able to purchase a season ticket. The new stadium is truly fantastic and long long overdue for the club and for the people of this superb city of ours. To be able to participate in recent events has been wonderful for me. The atmosphere is truly great. I have held back for a fair few weeks now to air my grievances over discrepencies in the opening of the new stadium and how I believe things should be perfected. Hey, guys I know its early days and a good job has been done so far but here are mine. Please bear in mind I have been to EVERY game since we opened.
Catering - way below standard, although queue problem slightly improved since opening.
Catering Prices - way too high for below standard fodder that is far surpassed by a burger van!
Stewards - Well, what can I say - here we go, absolute ner do wells, not all of them (as a forty odd year old woman to be confiscated a bottle of perfume out of my handbag and told to collect at the end of the game is absolutely disgusting)
Stewards/Body Searching - Now this happened to me at Withdean and now flipping bag searching at AMEX - I actually feel this is a bloody infringement on MY human rights. Its totally degrading and bloody well unnecessary.
Bottle Tops: Upon purchasing a bottle of water (yes water), I was informed by the serving member of staff that in the interests of health and safety my bottle top had to be removed - what a load of absolute shite! There are people in the stadium with bloody heavy metal flasks full of soup and other people with bottle tops on their drinks - pissed off I was (especially after having said bottle of perfume confiscated - which I then had to collect at end of game!)
Anyway, nuff said for now, Mr Bloom and Co, hope you check in on all your supporters chat and all points are taken on board. I know its early days but seriously I hope this club does not try to run before it can walk. PR is a very powerful machine - take care to treat your fans with the respect they deserve after all the years they have been waiting for this!

put the kettle on love...

Must have been 'coz I was excited and they thought I was hiding a drawing pin.

Marvellous thread, got to be a wind up.

For the record, compared to Withdean and pretty much every football ground I've been to over the last 30 years, the catering at the Amex is fantastic; the prices for a football ground ain't bad at all; the stewards ate pleasantly restrained and sensible; searches are part and parcel these days, sadly.

Hilarious original post, all in all
