I'm not indignant, I just hadn't thought it through!
Fair enough.

...Don't remember (but willing to be corrected) a long condemnation thread on NSC, don't remember 'on-line petitions' either calling for him not to be employed as a professional footballer again.
I wonder if there would be such vitroil in the media and on here if Ched Evans was from an ethnic minority? Doubt it very much as it would be sailing too close to 'racism.' Don't remember such a backlash against Marlon King when he emerged from prison and signed for Coventry after being convicted of 'assault of young women who rejected his advances.' Don't remember (but willing to be corrected) a long condemnation thread on NSC, don't remember 'on-line petitions' either calling for him not to be employed as a professional footballer again.

How on earth has this got on to race?!
What Evans did is one of the absolute worst things you can do to someone. I don't care what colour, religion or show size you are. You shouldn't get such a short sentence and I would not want them anywhere near my club or an area of such influence.
I also remember a fair bit going on about Marlon King
If he actually did it.
He says he didn't.
Would you be a happy bunny if it was you, and you were innocent, I think not.
Oh yeah, I forgot, the jury is never wrong, and miscarriages of justice never happen in this country do they.
True. But nothing I have read has made me question this case. The jury were provided with the evidence and decided, beyond doubt, he is guilty. If Evans can show the evidence was incorrect, untrue, fabricated or there is new evidence then I'll reconsider. But until then I have no reason to believe him over a number of other people. All Evans seems to be doing is going over the same old ground which a judge and jury have already considered.
Oh yeah, I forgot, the jury is never wrong, and miscarriages of justice never happen in this country do they.
Our justice system is worthless then is it? That is basically what you're saying...
Oh yeah, I forgot, the jury is never wrong, and miscarriages of justice never happen in this country do they.
It's one word against another.
I hope he manages to get this reopened, if only to get to the truth.
If he did it, then fair enough, if he didn't then I hope she rots in a cell for 2 and a half years.
What is this truth then? As I have said, he isn't offering anything new. The judge and jury have heard his story, seen and heard the evidence, and decided beyond doubt they don't believe him. That's quite compelling. This truth, are you suggesting the evidence was incorrect or fabricated? Or is there new evidence? Or does he now have a different story? Which of these do you feel he has to turn this case around ?
