Julie Walters - she was serving behind the bar at a Loxwood School PTA Dinner/Dance.
Tim "Nice but Dim" (the real one, not HE or HB&B) in the Mucky Duck at Tisman's Common.
Whilst in the Windmill in Ewhurst with some mates after rugby, one the team asked a woman at the bar whether she'd been at school with him at The Weald in Billingshurst. In a broad american accent she politely said no and that he must be mistaken, then went and sat down with a man sitting on his own. The man was Eric Clapton, she is Sheryl Crow.

I played bowls against Graham Johnson (ex county cricketer) at the bowls green in finsbury circus.

I love Finsbury Circus many a Broker would while away a summer afternoon there and make ones way back to the office at 4.30ish.................could explain a thing or three!!!

I almost forgot although I did mention it on here at the time Royal Ascot 2004 cheap enclosure I spotted the king Stuart Storer a few places in front of me in the q for the loo's I asked every guy between us louder each time ' excuse me mate did you score the last goal at the Goldstone he could hear me coming and turned to almost hug me with a huge grin on his face, no body else knew who he was , he was playing for Histon then. Sadly I saw him throwing up a couple of hours later.

I've never "met" any celebrities to be honest but had a few "near misses" when I lived in NYC...

Elle MacPherson at Graces Market (a local deli under the building I lived in) she took the last of the sausages I wanted and then ran her little trolley into me when she backed away from the counter

I sat behind Claudia Schiffer and her sister at a restaurant there too, her poor sister was nearly identical to her but no where near as beautiful...

Stood behind Sarah Jessica Parker in a queue in Zabars, shes a right old shrimp even with stillettos on! Strange looking lady in reality!

Harrison Ford dodged me walking down 3rd Avenue, he had his Indiana Jones hat on an was reading the paper whilst walking....

There were a couple more but being in NYC its not too hard to spot a few anyhow...
