Brezovan has cost us heaps of goals and points since he's been here, so I find it hard to see how Ankergren could be THAT much worse. However, we are agreed he is definitely not the answer.

You are such a twat you know that. I bet you have missed being called that while you had your little vacation.

f*** sake. This is going to be long summer isn't it.:tantrum:

yeah, but there will always be players released some of us think could do a good job,

Like Gary Doherty. Could be the new Hawkins, but has lots of international experience and was class at Luton and Spurs but was unlucky with injury. David Connolly did a good job last season, and they were at a similar level throughout their careers in my opinion, and I watched every Ireland game in the 90's and most of the 00's.

How was Charlton a match changing mistake? From my vantage point in the home stand it was probably the correct decision to come out and lessen the angle. He felt he could make it, but didn't quite. The defence should have dealt with the ball.

Exeter was unfortunate, but he did atone for his mistake by saving the penalty.

You are going to have to remind me about Colchester. It was a rare home game for me and I really can't remember any sort of blunder from Brez.

Leeds away was a poor throw, but he didn't force Virgo to lunge in.

I think you are being overly harsh on him.

TCB in slating any other goalkeeper than FDM SHOCKER! Would you like me to examine all games Kuipers has played in and pick out his mistakes? Spacker.

Brezovan + El-abd + Elphick = all donkeys, yet we managed to keep about 15 clean sheets with them in the team...

Poyet and Doherty were teammates at spurs so good shout for a possible Virgo replacement.

This has reminded me that in 2001 I went with my then girlfriends dad (spurs fan) to see a friendly at fratton park. A quick search informed me that Poyet and Taricco played that day!

Doubt that very much as he is the same type of player as Virgo and Gus wants ball players I would think the Leeds pair are much more possible.

I am not sure it is so cut and dried as that. It could be a case of Poyet not thinking they are getting value for money from Virgo. None of our other centre backs are ball players.

Why would Poyet want another stopper centre half when he has just let a similar type player leave in Adam Virgo. He is not a player in the Gus mould of ball playing central defenders.

Spot on, we need what used to be called a number 6, a defender who is able to read the game. Mark Lawrenson, Norman Gall, Simon Morgan, Ivar Ingimarsson just to name a few.

El abd and Elphick are hardly ball playing centre halves, think Doherty would be a great signing to add some experience. The other two at leeds, Michalik and Marques, would be solid signings aswell, although would think Michalik is on very good wages.

Charlton away
Wycombe away We won
Carlisle at home I'll give you that
Colchester at home Colchester at home, the one where we were 10 men down when they scored? (I think...)
plus -
Leeds away (sending off) Because Brez had a bad throw Virgo just had to dive in? No
Exeter away (penalty) Which he then saved

That's six match-changing mistakes. And he's played 20 games. So basically, once every three matches he'll make a cock-up that COULD result in us losing. In fact, in five of those examples it did cost us.

If we want to get promotion next season we need a keeper who will make only a handful of mistakes all season. Think of Michel in 2001 and Roberts in 2004. They barely put a foot wrong, and that's what you need. Brezovan will NEVER be that man. Swindon fans think he's shit and, despite a lot of our fans being blinded by the fact he catches a few crosses, he's messed up for us a number of times. New man needed NOW.

Hardly six match changing. His chalrton one was at the end of the match! Yeah, it changed about 20 seconds worth of clock running down.

Yeah, wycombe away, he chagned the match, see after we conceeded 2 goals and were in 2-1 (or 2-2 i forget now), we came out and KILLED them, definatly match changing, but you cant say it was a bad change. Only a couple of those matches we dropped points. So yoru wrong

Have you not noticed how both Elphick and El Abd have stopped or at least reduced their long hoofs and are now playing the ball out of the defence.
