I think I'm driving to this one. Might treat lucky Missus Lokki to a long weekend in the lake district.

I'll be doing the same, long weekend in the Lake District. Footy on Sarurday, Great Langdale half marathon on the Sunday!

Never been but going this time - longest away trip. Got to tick the box. Flying is cheating - got to sit in a jam on the M6 for it to count in my book. Portlock will be driving south, to drive north so that he has "travelled" the distance.

For me, this trip was the silver lining relegation...........

Gets coat - Taxi.....

BA flight to newcastle is about £90, was looking into transport last night. Hiring a minibus is looking about the only reasonably priced alternative to the costa express....:(

Walking would be a viable alternative to the Costa Express.

Did this last time after a session in the pub with a mate which ended me up going home pissed and ordering the rail tickets.

We got coined on the way out, and the locals were way too threatening in the town afterwards.

Think I'll give it a miss this time.

I'm hoping to go this year, but I'll be making a weekend of it so travel not so much of a problem.
