Two great trips to Carlisle. One on a luxury coach with the A21 club. Threatened to kill the driver because he wouldn't let us start drinking at 6 in the morning.
The other a good train trip with a one nil win with the great Warren Aspinal getting the winner.

Happy Days.

Oh, how my heart leapt when I saw this one. August...the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, full of Spiegeltents, exquisite performers and the sort of culture vulturalism that makes this life worth the trouble. And the 23rd...when a band whose name I have blathered about all too often already within these pages perform a one-off in that very tent.

And then I took a one-way train to Heartbreak Hotel by realising that the game is actually a month after that. But I still think staying overnight in Edinburgh is a lovely dream, almost as good as getting a lift there and back in a day...

I think I'm driving to this one. Might treat lucky Missus Lokki to a long weekend in the lake district.

As we haven't got our normal early season game against the Tangerines why not tie it in with a trip to Blackpool?

The illuminations, drunk northerners and jocks - what more could you want from a weekend?

Taking the train from Glasgow and having a drink for 90 minutes whilst it chugs its way through the Sweaty Countryside then returning after the game for a night out in Glasgow. Uncle Buck you are no longer welcome to go drinking with me in Glasgow.

What is it about that shit hole that people love? I just don't get it, it's like Bognor Regis on acid.
