Yes you can but it takes a long time. I get insomnia from time to time and my record without sleep is currently nine days.

There was a program about this and a man did actually die through not sleeping, think he had a disease preventing him from sleeping.

For my own experience you end up totally exhausted and if you have the strength to move your balance is completely shot and the staggering around like a drunk makes walking a bit dangerous.

People who say they have insomnia do get some sleep albeit in small 10 minute naps

If you cut off the head of a cockroach, it doesn't die from the wound, it dies of starvation. However, the severed head can actually sleep for a while (although there's not much point giving it breakfast in the morning).

Yes but not suffocating yourself, unless you say, placed a heavy object on a pillow smothering your face, because when you pass out and your hands flop down there'd still be something weighing the pillow down.
