I fully expect the board to be full of negative rubbish in the next few days but lets just put things into perspective.

We have three games. The Walsall defeat is the only one that result wise you could class as disappointing. Had we won that which I think you could argue we were unlucky not to we would have four points from three games and an okay start.

We have drawn away to Brentford, the only team to take any points from them so far.

And yes we got walloped at Huddersfield. but we lost a player and frankly how many teams will get anything at Huddersfield. They must be a very good bet for the top two.

So before you panic, just ask yourself what realistically you expect from a squad that is still being built and still gelling.

Give it a couple of months and I suspect we will be comfortably in mid table.

There is no excuse for losing 7-1 whatever the circumstances. I've now got little faith in Slade who doesn't seem to have a clue.

Yea lets sack ANOTHER manager, have to pay him off, get someone else in to spend a load more money in the next few weeks and see what happens.

Need to keep the faith I'm afraid chaps, we're not playing bad football, we've just been unlucky so far!

Giraffe is right to a degree, i would rather lose one game 7-0 than seven games 1-0 It has been a shit start to the season but it is just the start. There will be a shit-fest for the next couple of days but then hopefully on Saturday we can put it right. I can almost feel the tension oozing out of my computer but although my faith in Slade has taken a knock it still there.

We have played three games, THREE games. One of these was against the best team in the division and surprise surprise we lost. letting in seven goals is a bloody disaster of course but it can happen. Sometimes teams fall apart from one incident and often it is teams that have been rebuilt and have not yet properly gelled. Slade is trying to get the team right but everyone had confidence in him at the start of the season, so why change now after one shocker of a result against the division's best team.

I think in a few months time the draw at Brentford will look like a good result, a very good result. Walsall was a fluke own goal.

Things will turn, starting Saturday.

This 'waiting for a squad still being built and gelling' is a load of bollocks. This is our 4th game, we've scored 1 goal, conceded 11. That is piss-poor in anybody's book.

I'm not in panic mode but there needs to be some serious work done before Saturday.

Giraffe is completely correct.

Actually sounded like an even game until El-Abd's trademark calamitously under-hit backpass. There is NO need to press the panic button, Slade should make a couple of alterations but this isn't that big a deal.

Leeds - but not the dirty bit
Take heart me beauties, it wasn't all that bad.
Just got back from the game and it all turned on the Michel sending off.
Up to that point we were actually quite impressive in midfield and defence easily matching them. The difference was the strike force.
Once we had gone 3-1 down at half time it was basically all over with 10 men against this mob.
I will quite happily put my money on them destroying this league.
Unfortunately we still chased the game even at 3 and 4 down and the reamining goals were easy.

We won't encounter this good a team for a while yet.

Well if that doesn't give them a kick up the back side then nothing well on Saturday I predict another load of shit or we put a cricket score past Stockport.

Scoring one goal in our first four competitive matches IS a big deal-especially while conceding 11.

If the panic button hasn't been pressed yet then I suggest somebody starts pressing it because things look pretty desperate to me.

These alterations you speak of-who did you have in mind?

Slade did say before the season started that Huddersfield were one of the teams to watch. Obviously he was right !
The result, whilst dreadful, is early enough in the season to be able to put behind us. Yes I understand people are angry - I'm not exactly pleased myself having never seen a BHA side that comprehensively destroyed.
I believe we'll look back on this as a turning point

Errrr... Were you there against Brentford? Yes it was an ok result but Brentford played below par... I assure you tat Brighton played BAD football... We were not unlucky I'm any sense. We were lucky brentford were not playing very well either as we would have lost that game to.

From what I have actually SEEN I can say that at least so far Albion are playing awful football ... This is not about 'gelling' I didn't see Man city's 'gelling' team take a beating at the weekend.

It's bad football right now with little hope it will improve drastically.I don't know if it's the manager or the players but this is not good.

Clearly against Stockport we have to play two up front, McLeod and El-Abd can't play, Dicker probably should (I don't know what's going on there).

It's a disappointing start, but it's 4 games. Brentford away, Huddersfield away, and Swansea away are all extremely difficult matches. Of course losing 7-1 is absolutely gutting but what Giraffe says in terms of the result of the match (ie win, lose, or draw, not the score) the only real surprise was Walsall. You can't judge on these 4 games. If things don't get better on Saturday, then perhaps there will be some cause for worry (though not knee jerk reactions).

Yes of course the scoreline is disappointing, but the result (us losing) was not and in the scheme of a 46 game season losing one game away to one of the teams likely to be promoted is not a disaster.

Exactly. Slade will need to keep tinkering to get it right. It will help once he has a full fit squad to chose from.

He'll need to do more than "tinker" to sort this mess out, but I will be there on Saturday to see for myself.
