Anyone know anything about Peter Brezovan ?
Going through espn's soccernet:
R&D - shots: 6, on target: 2, concede: 2
Norwich - shots: 10, on target: 6, concede: 4
leeds - shots: 9, on target: 2, concede: 3
wycombe - shots: 7, on target: 3, concede: 0
wycombe - shots: 8, on target: 4, concede: 4
hartlepool - shots: 9, on target: 3, concede: 3
leyton orient - shots: 15, on target: 7, concede: 1
stockport - shots: 2, on target: 1, concede: 4
huddersfield - shots: 7, on target: 2, concede: 5
Apparently a goal doesn't count as a shot (on target), so I guess it should read:
R&D - shots: 8, on target: 4, concede: 2
norwich - shots: 14, on target: 10, concede: 4
leeds - shots: 12, on target: 5, concede: 3
wycombe - shots: 7, on target: 3, concede: 0
wycombe - shots: 12, on target: 8, concede: 4
hartlepool - shots: 12, on target: 6, concede: 3
leyton orient - shots: 16, on target: 8, concede: 1
stockport - shots: 6, on target: 5, concede: 4
huddersfield - shots: 12, on target: 7, concede: 5
shots on target 56
Goals conceded 26
46% of shots = a goal
Any chance of doing the same for Kuipers this season - would be interesting to compare the two
An interesting "stat" to see would be:
How far away (measured in feet) does the first touch of:
A> Glenn Murray
B> Nicky Forster
C> Liam Dickinson
take the ball away from them?
From the parameters of 40 yard, 50 yard, 60 yard punts from defence?
This would make for frankly hilarious reading.
My bigger issue with Dickinson (and I'm gonna take a wild guess that this is you wanting to make him look bad) isn't that his touches lead to a loose ball in our opponents area (which with pressure from supporting players would panick opposition defensive, pressure them and lead to more promising attacks). For me, the problem is when dickinson waits for the ball to come to his feet, which often leads to defenders nipping around him and intercepting a pass he could have collected with a stuck out foot, or a step or two forward.

Kuipers*
Shots: 153
On Target: 78
Goals: 19
Percent of shots scored: 24.36
Smith
Shots: 108
On Target: 60
Goals: 28
Percent of shots scored: 46.67
*I have taken all of the data for Smith from ESPN's soccernet. I took most of the data for kuipers from there, however info for the southampton game was not available from soccernet, so I took it from the seagulls website.
Yesterday he claimed nearly all the crosses into the box, and his distribution from his throw outs were good. But the two goals were down to him, the first one went directly underneath him and the second well he didn't stretch far enough. He is definitely playing without confidence, and it shows within the back four because they are hesistant to pass back to him this was shown at Norwich on Tuesday night and yesterday.
And I still say we need to see Smith behind a competent, confident defence to truly judge him.
With the greatest respect, Smith at fault for both. See Daily Mail match report today for confirmation!Basil....BASIL! (Attempts to do a Sybil impression)
With the greatest respect, I think you're talking tosh hon. Despite Smith's many shortcomings, the goals were down to the outfield players (notably The Back 4).

slightly harsh on smith chaps. He has played against the better teams, and the huddersfield game he came on after Kippers (arguably) got sent off stupidly.
