I'll be working there starting in a couple of weeks, but really know nothing of the town at all.

Any residents care to enlighten me?

And what is wrong with the Top House?

The Top House has been taken over now, and has undergone a makeover recently. It's actually quite nice now to be honest.

If your just working here, and get to go home at the end of the day, then you've had a right result

Depends where you are working. The industrial parks are a good 20 min walk from the town center. The town center is fairly depressing for shopping. There are a few bars and pubs around though, not all that bad.

Thanks guys.

I'll be working in the town centre itself.

Wilko's in the shopping centre (next to WH Smiths) is handy I suppose.

Jacob's Post in the middle of Town is cheap for food and drinks, and always have Sky Sports News or the Cricket on the TV's.

The Shops are dire to be honest though

The best pub is the Potters, other Pubs/Bars that are good are Mooch & Quench.
Loaf is the best place to get a healthy lunch. KFC, McDonalds, plus a couple of pizza chains for the less healthier options.
As already mentioned shopping is rubbish, and it is not the greatest town, but I have been to far worse.

It all went wrong when Munchies closed down... That said though, the KFC in Burgess Hill rarely fails to impress.

I've always liked Burgess Hill. Plenty of pubs and a cinema (wow!) in the town centre with friendly people but it is a bit boring.

It could be worse if you had to work round the Haywards Heath shops, Frutos. Everyone is so miserable.:lolol:
