Should they be banned?

Irrelevance.

They already are. They are a pit bull breed and should not be owned by anyone.

At the very least they should have a muzzling order on them.

I have no idea why anyone other than a criminal moron would want to own such an ugly, dangerous, monster. Let alone have it in the house.

I’d like to see the breed wiped out.

What say you?

Now anyone who gets one of those deserves prison. I suppose they can jump fences etc . Saints preserve us.

Surely these can’t be classed as a domestic animal, they must be classed as wild and dangerous?

They should be culled.

The owners and breeders, I mean.
There is no suggestion actually, that the 'Bully Cats' are dangerous in any way (unless the sheer HORROR of coming across one causes a panic attack).

They are just cruel - ugly as sin, and doomed to a miserable short life riddled with incurable health defects.

Another XL Bully death, this time a ten-year old girl.

I'm a dog lover & owner and fully understand that any dog can kill someone. I've seen less of these over the last few months when I walk my dog & the one I do see is muzzled. The other one who's walked with it by a 15/16 year old isn't muzzled so assume isn't 'quite' on the list & I assume it's father & son that walk them together. I did give them a leaflet saying my cat was missing the other month as the dogs would be likely to notice him! I did say hello to the dogs in the 'right way' to say hello to dogs & was confident but fully aware that if they wanted to bite my hand off they would've easily been able to & their owners wouldn't be able to stop them or pull them back on the lead. I haven't seen any being walked 'illegally' for months.
The gobbiest dogs I see on my walks are Pomeranian's, Chihuahuas & French Bulldogs. They can break your skin & hurt but all said and done are unlikely to be able to kill me. Most recently I've been bitten accidentally by a Cairn Terrier whilst playing fetch. If that had been an XL Bully that went for the ball at the same time as I did, I reckon I'd have more than a bruise & a tiny bite mark.
I've got a soppy twat Lab who's 10, I trust him completely around kids & he's never nicked any food in his life. I still tell him to bugger off though if I have young kids around as they might try & feed him, he's very gentle but no, I'm not taking the risk. They can give him treats, make him lay down & paw etc but it's under my supervision.
I would never get an XL bully, I know all the crap that it's not the dog it's the owner but if a dog wants to do something it considers important, it will. People who walk their dogs off lead on pavements are think are insane. I'm sure I've probably said this on here before but not that long ago an elderly lady nearly lost her dog to traffic as it was off lead & randomly went across the road. If it did it all the time, it would be on lead. You can only trust dogs, cats & humans to a certain point. I'm wary that one of my tropical fish might jump out of the tank!!!
I do now think it's time to put XL Bully's under stricter controls, if their owner won't give them up, then part of the licence should be there are no kids in the household they are staying in. People are losing their lives because of these dogs, there's got to be a point where it's a complete no to have one, no matter how much it breaks the owners heart.

They should be culled. Simple as. They were bred by humans to do the exact thing they’re doing, there is no undoing it.

It’s always “the dog has never said boo to goose and suddenly it snapped”. You can’t undo hundreds of years of genetic conditioning with good will.

Owners should be made to turn them in for euthanasia at their own expense.

This might seem harsh and a hard line, but bully xl owners are fully aware of how dangerous they are - all of them - yes, even their darling angel.

I would allow a few weeks for the parents to grieve, then prosecute for manslaughter.

It’s sheer hubris from the owners and callous disregard for human life. Life of the public, first responders, and their own family including children.

I remember the outcry in places like Sheffield, Derby and, yes, Hastings when Major tried to bring in a dangerous dogs act (I think it was Major).

Interfering with peoples' freedoms.

"Wouldn't hurt a fly".

Etc.

I'd like to see the same sort of pile-on we saw over the chav rioters a while ago.

Let it be assumed that when a dog of any sort attacks then it is a criminal case with a custodial sentence.

That may focus a few (what passes for) minds.
