Well in which case then I don't really want to spend my hard earned with that company then! So don't worry Mr Chapman, my cash will be staying firmly in my pocket! You can pass that information on from me next time you are smoozing at one of your "functions".

Allelujah to that. For every one of you, there are 5,000 who feel completely the opposite, so guess what? You won't be missed. Just wish you applied that to messageboards as well.

Oh, and with regards to are you making it up? Yes you are. :bigwave:

TLO is going to have a kitten when he sees this thread!

Be warned you sceptical fans, a personal onslaught is in store for you guys for daring to question the club!!

I can't decide whether your one-man crusade on TLO is sader than your complete and utter lies about the stadium development.

Either way, it makes you a very very sad individual indeed.

No.

I think TLO is telling you that the directors of the Albion - particularly those who are working flat out on the project - are getting fed up with the detractors, who are spreading untruths about what is happening.

So telling your potential customers to f*** off is acceptable is it?

What "complete disaster"?

11 years, still no ground, set back after set back in the planning application. Now it's through haven't got any money to get the ground built. No you are right, it's been plain sailing since day 1!

What "struggling to get the money together"? What "cover up"?

Covered this numerous times before hand. The club asked the lottery for a massive sum of money, I know this because a friend of a friend works for the lottery. The club was declined any money as it was deemed not in the community interest for the lottery to provide such a large amount of money to one project in the area. Also they felt if they gave money to us they would have to do so to every football club in the country trying to build a new ground.

This information was never made public, so I asked a fan figure who I know has a good relationship with Martin Perry to ask him about it. He did so via email. His reply was shocking! It basically said, yes we applied to the lottery and they turned us down, but please don't make put this in the public domain as people will start asking questions as to where the money is ACTUALLY going to come from.

At the time I sat on this and obeyed Perry's wishes as I'd also promised my contact at the lottery I wouldn't say anything. Now it's becoming quite clear that the club are struggling to get the money and that some of you clowns are so blinkered it's unreal I feel I need to help some of you see the light a little.

If the club's only response is to tell people to "f*** off" and that they are "not welcome" then that suggests to me that I may well have touched a nerve. You've then got to ask yourself why so aggressive?

Or as I suspect TLO was just name dropping and said conversation probably didn't happen

I can see Martin Perry's point.

It was worth taking a punt at getting lottery money. It didn't work. You found out. Now you are using the fact that it didn't work out as the basis for spreading an untruth that ALL of the funding bids are going to be unsuccessful punts like this one.

I'm not going to give details, but I have every reason to believe that the finance package is looking good.

Does it not occur to you that perhaps they are getting f***ed OFF with people with little/no knowledge of what is going on spreading completely fantastical concerns with absolutely no basis in truth whatsoever? Perhaps Chapman is pissed off that people with no knowledge of the processes involved with building a stadium are perfectly happy to sit on here spouting bollocks just to get some attention? That perhaps Perry knows he can't sit and discuss confidential funding negotiations with all and sundry, so does not want people to start debating it?

Imagine you were sat at work, doing your job, and someone comes along and says to the person next to you "Arthurs doing a shit job". "Why?". "He just is. His processes are all wrong and he's not going about anything in the right way". "How do you know that?" "I just do ok" "oh okay then" and then starts telling everyone else. Then all of a sudden there is a perception, with NO basis in fact, that you are doing a shit job. Would you not be a tiny bit annoyed, and be tempted to tell someone (indirectly) to f*** OFF? I know I sure as hell would.

Why be so cloak and danger about it. I thought the board were going to be honest about everything?

I've not once said that all funding bids will be unsuccessful. I simply pointed out that the club were asking for serious amounts of money from the lottery. If it's not going to come from that source then where is it coming from? Given the fact the club are now communicating in a different manner about funding it suggests to me that the club aren't 100% sure about that question either.

I'm not going to give details, but I have every reason to believe that the finance package is looking good.

Good! I really hope you are right!

No, but telling you to is. Anyway, I didn't realise you place yourself in that 'potential customers' bracket. How can you be a customer for something you don't believe will happen?

Besides, it's not the club's 'official' response - it's Derek Chapman's. The 'club' would probably just dismiss you as being pig-ignorant.

Or as I suspect TLO was just name dropping and said conversation probably didn't happen

:lolol: I don't know what's funnier, that you consider me having a conversation with someone I know is 'name-dropping' or that you believe the conversation didn't happen.

WRONG on both counts.

Why be so cloak and dagger about it? I thought the board were going to be honest about everything.

Are you now suggesting a lack of honesty? Good grief! You do want to shaft the Club, don't you?

'Cloak and dagger' is the ONLY safe way to be operating when you are talking to several different sources of funding.

It is when it's certain people that spout lies.

11 years, still no ground, set back after set back in the planning application.
And that is COMPLETELY the Albion's fault, is it?

His reply was shocking! It basically said, yes we applied to the lottery and they turned us down, but please don't make put this in the public domain.
At the time I sat on this and obeyed Perry's wishes as I'd also promised my contact at the lottery I wouldn't say anything.
So your "friend of a friend" went against MP's wishes. Then YOU broke a promise.

Says a lot about what kind of person you really are.
