What's the building on the extreme left of this row?

jg_08_007.jpg

The Tandoori in Patcham Old Village I cannot for the life of me remember the name of!

That's Robertson Road my Lord taken I would suggest from either a Garden on The Drove or the bottom of Inwood Crescent. The Streets on the left in inclination are Scarborough Road, Kingsley Road , and Hampstead Road and not a Parking Meter in sight. My drum is not quite in this photo sadly.

It was taken in 1909 - from the allotments next to The Drove.

Or! Is it Portslade / Mile Oak taken from the Dyke Railway?

YESSSSS !! But I don't think the photo was taken from the railway.

This is the caption to the photo:-

...dating from the time of the Second World War, and just before – the late 1930s. At this time, apart from a cluster of houses at Mile Oak (seen in this) there was little development beyond Portslade Village. The whole of this large area was given over to agriculture, so I cannot say much about the location of the photographs, except that they all look towards the Downs. The farm buildings seen below were of the Stonery then at the far end of North road, but now demolished and built over.

For a clue, the wooden building in the foreground doesn't exist any more. The other four still do.

The one I'm asking about - the exterior looks pretty much the same nowadays, or if it has changed, it was very recently. And it's on a corner.

It's in Brighton.
