Lewes Road it is :

"With a length of 3.46 miles from Waterloo Place to the Falmer boundary, Lewes Road is the longest continuously-named road in Brighton, and replaced the downland Drove Road and Juggs Road over Newmarket Hill in medieval times."

Hmmmm! The Brighton side of Dyke Road runs from the Dyke Golf Club to the Clock Tower.

It becomes Dyke Road Avenue and Devils Dyke Road on the Hove side only.....I think.

The slope is about the right gradient for Trafalgar Street. Looks like it's just down from the Nelson, photot taken from opposite Trafalgar Wines- ish.

Trafalgar Street was my first thought but most of the buildings are pretty old (on that side of the road) and I can't think of one that's at all like that.

They're all good, but they're not right.

The watering hole isn't there any more but I think (not 100% sure) that the building might be. I'm pretty certain the building to the left - the foreign money exchange - is still there.
