The railway.
Not the Hove Park one - there was once another one...

(I too have cheated on the pub)

Not miniature but small - Hollingdean Depot (where the dustcarts are) used to have a little railway linking the incinerator that was on-site to the main trainline that runs just alongside.

The old tracks were still visible in Hollingdean Lane going across the road but I assume that they were tarmac'ed over when the waste transfer station was built a couple of years ago...

Thinking about it, I seem to remember my mum taking me to a minature railway when I was a nipper, late 1960's. Patcham place springs to mind.
I might have to ring her and ask her...
