Fortunate to be at a wedding today so couldn’t be at the Amex. End of the day when we struggle to beat bottom division dross and two up with 6 mins to play to draw is a result that shows we are no where near good enough to get a Europe place unless we rapidly sort our shit out. The most depressing thing is we struggle to score against these sides. Today we did and still blew it. So disappointing. At least Evan scored.
After a quarter of the season we are in 5th place having played four of the ‘big six’ and Newcastle away. To say we are ‘nowhere near good enough to get a European place’ is clearly reactionary nonsense.

At least Evan scored.
I think this alone was almost worth dropping two points for, the relief and excitement on his face plus the reaction of his team mates spoke volumes. As to us not being good enough for Europe, how often have we snatched a win or a draw in the final minutes, it's not uncommon for any team to screw up like that. Spurs last week is a prime example, at least we kept hold of a point. Also thinking back to a couple of seasons ago when we grabbed a draw at Palace with everyone going nuts as if we had won.

Pretty dismal second half. Feel for Wieffer who ultimately f***ed it, but the defending was shocking. Game management pathetic. Subs just weird.

Piss poor from the manager and 2 points up the swanny.
Yes our second goal was against the run of play and a Wolves goal had been coming. The Wieffer pass was symptomatic of the whole second half performance. In the end Wolves did enough to draw. I think there was complacency everywhere. We so badly missed Dunk.

It was as if we thought we could defend deep and coast. That allowed them to come onto us and they made us pay.

It certainly won't hurt the team to experience what they did yesterday. It isn't nice for us fans but they will deffo learn from that shambolic final 10mins. That was not the resilent and solid team effort that we witnessed at St James' Park last week. They got sloppy, let their guards down at 2-0 and the rest is history.

Many thanks again for the half time one. Nice to see you and @Hugo Rune today, shame about the result.
Indeed.

Unfortunately my application for head of impromptu NSC socializing has been rejected owing to (as I've realized today) the schoolboy error of attempting to mastermind liaisons while holed up in a bunker-like bar with 1990s dial-up-style internet and mobile connectivity. Which is why 5 never became 6. :shootself If I hadn't mentioned in advance the extraordinary colour of my raiment you wouldn't have clocked me at the bar and it would have been the gang of four again. :lolol:

Quite amusing to see the ball launched into ESU yesterday. Can't remember that happening before. Also marvellous scenes when the guy in ESL adroitly headed the ball back onto the pitch when it came his way. Sign him up!
You have under stated this incident. Not only was it a great header, the ball went straight to our player on the touchline to take a quick throw, best fan header I can remember at the Amex

I am optimistic this morning after the utter deflation of yesterday. We have only lost one game this season and sit 5th in the league after 9 games. We have gone from losing to shit teams to getting a draw, so progres.

The sun is shining, I had a lay in and still got up at normal time and going to go on a motorcycle ride.
