He might have to take his turn (no pun intended) - I was disappointed not to see Tsongui in the team after he did very well in the last round - but Turns came in and did very well too. On top of that, there are four Brighton CBs out on loan in the Championship and the SPL (and I don't think any of them have yet turned out for a Brighton team), so there's one heck (again, no pun intended) of a queue - or production line, whichever you prefer!

I could be wrong but I thought he was out injured….definitely didn’t play in the last u23 match

The fact you have had to make this comment is an example of how this man doesn't help himself.

Pleased for him... but Jesus Christ does he need to be a bit more professional.

Best tell Foden Man City and England player who did that after he scored a marvellous goal against us in final home game of last season…or does one ear not count

Connolly cupped his ear towards the away supporters, I imagine they were giving him a bit of stick...as away supporters do. Highlights showed nothing else...except swansea are fantastic at the crossbar challenge

If Connolly had been celebrating wildly, people would have said "if he gets that happy scoring against such a poor team, just shows how plucky attitude he got", if he had barely celebrated at all people would have said "shows no passion at all".

According to some (shite) people, he can do nothing right. The only reason he scored two goals tonight is because he couldnt score three.

This is getting a bit boring, to be honest. Do please wind your neck in

Not least because there are plenty of us who are less than impressed with his conduct over the past several months and feel he owes us a bit more than 2 goals against an average championship club before he's cupping his ear as if to say we're all wrong about him.

Two goals is great. The second was a lovely finish - good to see. Now Aaron, if you can just knuckle down, force your way back into the reckoning and not try starting a fight in a nightclub, throw your toys out of the pram if you're not in the squad, throw a tantrum at your bird for going on Love Island, or break Covid regs just to go and shag some bint, that would be great.

Connolly scored two decent goals and put a shift in after what has been a pretty torrid time for him. I couldn’t give a stuff about his celebration, some very odd posts on this thread. Well played Aaron haters gonna hate….

You are not pleased for him or you wouldnt be desperately looking for flaws.

Bit more professional? Like who, Jamie Vardy?

Steven Gerrard?

I've not been a real fan of Connolly's off field antics, but today has undoubtedly been a very good day for him.

The storm in a teacupped ear isn't worth bothering with.

So, Connolly scores two and some on here want to rip him to shreds?

Funny old world

Wind your own neck in and support this young Brighton player rather than trying to take every opportunity to bash him.

He is infinitely better at football than a few of you are at supporting Brighton players.

Oh. I guess there are no professionals out there.

If he could turn into some sort of unholy combination of Vardy, Gerrard, and Ronaldo, that would be absolutely banging.

I completely failed to notice his celebration tonight, but I was at the other end of the ground. I thought he played well :clap2:

I think he must be injured - he wasn't in the U23s lately either - was still disappointed though! What little I've seen of him (via MyAlbionTV) I have been very impressed. Loan next season, I'm sure!
