He was looking for it though, had no chance of doing anything with the ball if he wasn't kicked.
Clever play or cheating, you decide. Depends on the team you supprt i guess
Marco Silva's view from the BBC:

On the penalty: "A typical striker feels the touch and goes down. Nothing to complain about. He did his job. It's for the referee to decide. If it's for our side, I would want it too. It's about being calm in the box.

He was giving the 4th official loads of earache because the ref wasnt giving them soft (non)fouls and waving yellow cards around. Well played ref.
Ref had a good game, let quite a bit go but most importantly he was consistent in his decisions. No yellows?

I thought we looked a bit off it today, so f***ing slow in the build up and I found that infuriating. But who gives a shit as we put that hoodoo to bed, in the best way possible. Coming back from 0-1 with a goal from nowhere and a win from a penalty in almost the last minute that looked very very iffy to me. f*** you Fulham though

I was losing my shit all the way through the second half as we fannied around at the back letting Fulham get their defence organised before we crossed the half-way line.
To be fair, Fulham were very, very tight and didn't give us any space at all for the most part. It's easy to say move the ball forward quicker, but the defensive unit you're up against isn't providing you with many/any options, it's not quite as easy as that

If Verbruggen and the team looked to break at pace from regaining possession from a breakdown in our area, with the pace of Mitoma and Minteh we could have hit them on the counter. Fast counter attacking should be worked on imo

I know I was waving my arms at the screen in front of me telling them to get f'in forward.
Whilst I am both surprisingly sober and fully aware they could not hear me through the screen 300 miles away, it did not stop me doing it.
Everyone in the stadium screamed GET IT IN THE FÙCKING BOX at the same time.

So miraculous the moment, a disabled supporter was able to ditch his/her crutch.

Fair enough. I quite like him. Looks like a right miserable sod though.

The fast Iwobi break and EARLY cross - at full-pelt - was impressive.

We should do more of that.

Feels churlish to complain given recent results, mind!

It did seem to be a significant part of their game plan. When they broke, hit the cross very early and don't worry about getting past the defender.

And we never looked particularly happy with it ???

I should pay more attention!!
I thought he got the book out for Leno during the penalty prep - so I went to check on the BBC and there discovered it was Andersen instead. BBC also reports Robinson got his at 69 mins which I have no recollection of ... just watched it back, and it was a foul on the edge of our box on Georginio, but it was at the start of a break, so the ref played advantage and then booked him later.
