Worst performance of season. Reminds me when Everton tore us apart a couple of seasons ago. Enciso showed some flair. Hopefully return of Dolly can change things around. Thought Lamptey had a shocker today after playing well previous game. Really need to work on defending. Dunk disappointing but hopefully he'll bounce back. Let's hope we can continue our good record historically against Hammers

When Fab shuffles back off to Germany in March, this'll be the game the press talk about as being the beginning of the end for him.
65% posession, 17 shots, 5 on target. What more do you want the manager to do?
Ok, he could have played Igor instead of Dunk, but it wasn't too long ago that NSC said Igor was shit and Dunk was god.

I thought his changes at half time were good and we really dominated the first half of the second half. If Dunk and Encisos chances went in we would have been OK. But once Glasner go wise to it he was able to shore them up a bit.

The first half was diabolical. Against an OK Palace team. Nothing more. Their 1st two goals were beyond shìt defensively.

We have played like that plenty of times this season.

We need to play with more intensity.
We were lethargic for all but 20 minutes today.

Dunk sloqs us down.
But ot isn't all his fault.

Disappointing but expected in our recent run. 2 points from the incredibly poor Southampton side, Fulham, a poor Leicester and Palace at home.

Obviously missing Veltman. Unfortunate his absence is coinciding with 3 other RB options also being injured. Dunk is struggling, and he needs Veltman to help tactically on the pitch. Van Hecke was also poor today, dreadful passing.

We know Pervis can offer so much, but relying on him defensively with the weakened back line will never work.

Pedro needs Welbeck to thrive, Ferguson isn’t helping fill that gap. Credit to Hurztler for spotting the issues. Yet to find any solutions. I’m not sure where he can go when Veltman, the better back up defenders and Welbeck are all lit together.
Sorry no credit for Hurzeler , he should know his squad well enough by now , his tactics today at home were dire . Don`t know what Enciso has done wrong not to get more time , he made such a difference today , maybe it is that F*****g "process" whatever that BS is , if it is playing the way we did today he has got it spot on - for every other bugger but not us .

I think some good results have given us false hope and the reality is we are a mid table team.

We play a high risk, high reward brand of football, sacrificing having a midfield to try and overload in the final third.

There are times like against Man City where it has worked really well and there times like today, where apart from the first 15 to 20 minutes of the second half we lost the midfield battle and conceded multiple times.

Palace were sharper than us and first to the majority of the 50-50s.

We really needed to score in the first 15-20 minutes of the second half when we were on top. For most of the game we were second best.

Too many times we’ve had a stinker against Palace in recent years. We really let ourselves down today.

Another really poor performance…

Lots of fingers being pointed today and players won’t always play well but imho, our squad is far, far better than it is showing and that is sadly not down to them. The way we are playing doesn’t allow any space for error at the back and our quick and skilful players aren’t given a chance to turn and run at the defenders as it’s too crowded and they are already too high up the pitch.
FH should be given time of course but for me, the poor performances are on him.

What else can he do?

He’s already tried multiple fixes to missing Bw, Welbeck and their

I agree he needs to do better at finding a solution. That’s his role.

He’s tried several tactical adjustments to cover the lose of Veltman, his replacements and Welbeck. With what’s available, I’m not sure where he can go.
