I’m not sure if there’s something wrong with me or my perceptive skills?? Perhaps my other half is slowly drugging me via my herbal tea addiction… but I thought we played well in the first half and dipped in the second, whilst looking reasonably dangerous until we had a shot … which, alas, were either weak and/or lashed uncontrollably over the bar into outer space… for that I’m blaming the players, plain and simple… as for Pedro, that attempted elbow thankfully was as on target as his overall performance… didn’t like the petulance at all… if he’s frustrated, he should try paying to watch his performance tonight… I’ll say no more.

What is apparent is that we vastly over paid for some of new ‘talents’ and Pervis has lost so much pace it’s painful to watch… really sad… not sure that’s on Fabian really.
Decent summary

That was on the players and the finishing - no more, no less. Yes, yes....we've seen it before, but how anyone calls for the managers head (hi @Ethelwulf - fool) is beyond me.
We did more than enough to win that game....except put the ball in the net, which is what players are paid to do.
Yes. That's enough chances to win a game of football.

But it is up to the manager to find the blend up there

The fact that we appear to be reliant on Welbeck is pretty damning. He's always likely to get injured, Ferguson has lost his form, and Pedro isn't a number 9. Need to be looking for a backup in January, but it's unlikely we'll get anyone decent enough without spending a (another) fortune.
Agree. It's painful reading how we miss Welbeck. He's a crooked/aged Danny Welbeck. Painful because it's true. Ferguson has been woeful whenevr he players. Lost little lamb and JP is a massive primadonna who has been absolutely shit in every game since Bournemouth. Arrogant and could have seen red tonight.

But when the opposition players haven't shown any sign whatsoever of being sucked in by this after 70+ minutes, you think he'd stop doing it?
Agreed, infuriating that he doesn’t seem to realise that sometimes a quick ball is the way to go and I don’t mean a hoof downfield. Although he is a better shot stopper I think I’d like to see the more switched on Steele getting a run. We have had very few shots on the keeper lately and Bart has not been that good when we have

I hope your family had a good Christmas, despite having you around.

Putting the ball in the net matters though. We can’t talk about being great apart from that, it’s kind of crucial to being a good team.

Indeed, and the players had plenty of chances to do exactly that. How is their failure to hit the target* on Fab?
*Do the job for which they are handsomely rewarded.

Ferguson and Welbeck are injured, so who should play up front?
We have enough talent to work around it, but we don’t seem to have a manager who is capable of doing it though. Although I don’t blame him for tonight he does seem a bit clueless at this level and doesn’t know his best 11. This is happening too often and he is not learning imo

I disagree with everything you say
So you think we showed desire, intensity, passion and killer instinct tonight? If so I equally disagree with you but that's fine 👍🏻 I just don't rate Fab and think we will finish in the bottom 6 if we stick with him. Historically not a nightmare but disappointing considering our last couple of seasons and the summer expenditure

Amazing what different people see. I thought he was our weakest outfield player for much of the game.
He did defend when we needed to avoid a smash and grab though, I imagine Lamptey would have not done as well. Hard to point fingers at defenders when we didn’t concede, I’d point them at all the attacking players except Enciso and Gruda personally
