He did seem to want the game to flow and there was the odd 'play on' call that surprised me a little. But he was consistent in that no team got the rub of the green there. As regards corners, I was watching on that there telly box and all the corner close ups which tend to cover each decision didn't show a wrong call. One I didn't understand, but the replay showed it had been called correctly.
First half Lamps tackled and it obviously hit the B'mouth players arse.

Was it a Bournemouth player earlier in the season who's rump played us onside for a goal via VAR ?

I can’t stand Bournemouth. They’re the kid when you join secondary school who has all the gear, acts smug and turns out to have noncey parents who’ve paid for the whole kit on tick.

I tested this analogy on the concourse to mixed reviews but I’m sticking with it. They’re falser than Jordan’s tits.

So I’m obviously delighted.
Plenty of kids like that at Bournemouth Grammar school when I was there in the 80’s LOL

Anyway, enjoy your win, things not quite clicking at the moment for us but can’t complain.

I suspect Kluivert's goal against us might be one of the stronger rivals to Mitoma's (vs. Chelsea) when we get to goal-of-the-season time.

Whilst I have always appreciated your analogies, I have to respectfully say that one isn't among the best.

Most of the clubs in this league run on a degree of tick. I mean we got here initially because of a very benevolent uncle.

I'd say more that Bournemouth are the kid from the council estate who turned up in the smartest gear and the best study aids because his parents knew who to ask and realised that they could get some second hand stuff that was as good as new. They also knew which gear that wasn't in fashion would soon be.

The big kids got pissed off and started picking on him only to discover his dad was a boxing trainer and the weedy nerd could easily break your nose with one flick. They now avoid him and have gone to ask their rich daddies for more- only to find out that daddy has got into trouble with HMRC, and that whilst Master Muff is holidaying in Barcelona in the October half term after he won the national spelling competition, they'll be at aunties in Bexhill.

Good for any team that makes Europe whilst Manchester United and Tottenham etc (although I'm not so badly disposed towards Tottenham as they don't have so many glory hunters) languish in oblivion.

It's wonderful, just for the meltdowns. A while ago I asked a Brighton based United fan why he didn't support the Albion. 'because they are shit' the glory hunter replied. Err, yeah, about that...
Bournemouth was fined in 2016 for breaching FFP rules. That’s a bit more than running on tick.

Almost every time I watch Brighton play. Ayari is the player that stands out for me.

Early in the season that was a bit surprising, but after several games
performing on a high level I am no long surprised by his performances.
On top of that Ayari is still very young so he can still develop to be even better.

But what really annoys me in this forum is that Ayari many times does get the credit he deserves for his performances. There is so much high quality from this player. Also today when I watched the game against Bournemouth Ayari came in to the game and was one of the reason the game turn back to Brighton favor and Brighton got three points in this game.

I hope some of you at this forum start to wake up and give Ayari the respect he deserves for this performances.
He is absolutely one of Brighton's key player in 2025 (period).
Key players don’t get benched, we are stronger in midfield Baleba/Hinsh /Baleba/Gomez
Sorry Yasin keep working hard in training.

Like us, you've had a lot of injuries. Do you have the squad to cope? Can you keep going until the end of the season or will the lack of ability to rotate cost you?

I know it's one game at a time etc etc but if you're allowed to dream for a night or two, there's a fair chance that we're both in Europe next year while southampton and pompey are slugging it out in the championship.

Watching the highlights, Howson is a bit of a dirty player. He pushed Pedro into Kapa, and then right at the end, got a kick in on Verbruggen as he grabbed the ball a second time.

I was impressed with Bournemouth's energy, but thought they left the foot in a wee hit last night. Other refs could have dished a few cards to them.

Very very proud of that result and performance last night. It’s great and hugely enjoyable to thrash the dross - like Man Utd - but to battle so hard against a very good side and a ref who didn’t know the difference between letting the game flow and blatant fouls shows a steely side of this squad that I didn’t know they had in them. Brilliant stuff.

No chance. So many players cut in from the edge of the box and let fly. Mitoma is well ahead of this goal

Having lived there for a few years, there's a bit of that. They're kind of like a poorer version of Essex boys and girls. Blonde, not a lot going on upstairs, quite right wing and blingy. Champagne tastes, lemonade money and very insular to their own area.

Still a great beach and superb night out when I lived there especially in the summer.

From what I can see next to no mention of this on the back pages of any of the main newspapers..instead pictures of the lamest goal celebration in football (nkunku if in any doubt) and column inches given to Chelsea only putting 4 past Soton. Standard.

Yeah it's funny that the 'Injury crisis' was Adam Smith, Marcus Tav & Evanilson as in actual first team players - but a lot of the back up were out also, which we have back now, like Scott & Sinisterra.

But with no Zabarnyi and Christie, actual core players it obviously affects the team more. Tyler Adams was ill for the Wolves match and he makes a massive difference.

What a shame it will be to see Saints & Pompey in the championship next season!
