Almost every time I watch Brighton play. Ayari is the player that stands out for me.

Early in the season that was a bit surprising, but after several games
performing on a high level I am no long surprised by his performances.
On top of that Ayari is still very young so he can still develop to be even better.

But what really annoys me in this forum is that Ayari many times does get the credit he deserves for his performances. There is so much high quality from this player. Also today when I watched the game against Bournemouth Ayari came in to the game and was one of the reason the game turn back to Brighton favor and Brighton got three points in this game.

I hope some of you at this forum start to wake up and give Ayari the respect he deserves for this performances.
He is absolutely one of Brighton's key player in 2025 (period).
Well said, Yasin. Are you posting from the players lounge?

BBC website:

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola, speaking to Match of the Day, said: "It is not a matter of luck that they scored two goals.

"Both teams were looking to win the game, it has been quite open and I liked most of the game from my side. but before the [second] goal and after we had more clear chances.

"We were not able to score the second goal and that's one of the reasons we go without any points."

Bournemouth goalscorer Justin Kluivert, speaking to TNT Sports: "We played a great second half, unfortunately we just lost. It was a beautiful game to play in and watch but they just got the better of us.

"It was lovely to score, especially these beautiful goals, but the three points are more beautiful and unfortunately we could not get the three points today.

"When you are up with the big boys, you need to win every game and now we've lost two games in a row, two games we could've won. But we just need to keep working hard. We had a lot of chances so we could've won this game."

"It was a very intense game, both teams tried to score and tried to win. The second half was an open game and in the end we were a lucky winner."

On match-winner Danny Welbeck:

"The most important thing for me is he is there as a leader and so important for the young players. He does the right things and he got what he deserved today."

On Brighton's reaction after losing 7-0 at Nottingham Forest on 1 February, but then winning their next four matches:

"We reflected on the Nottingham Forest game and we were honest and took responsibility for the loss and tried to get back to the basics so credit to the players and we're really happy with this reaction."

I know people will defend them but an hour after final whistle Southern are sending in a 3 carriage train, next one 4 carriages to Brighton, then people criticise night time attendances
And back in Brighton, on the mainline,
22:09 SASTA Victoria service and 22:14 Thameslink Bedford train were both cancelled.

And more from the BBC website:

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola, speaking to TNT Sports: "I'm quite pleased with the performance but Brighton were much better with scoring and Danny Welbeck had a great finish. We had clear chances, didn't score and they made us pay.

"All the second half we had been better, but didn't score the second goal and we have to blame ourselves for how we defended their second goal - it's a play we should've defended better.

"You [the media] are the ones talking about standings, we never talk about the standings. We thought we played good enough to get the points but we were not as good as Brighton in the boxes and they were much better at getting goals."

Well that was fun if a little stressful. Bournemouth were very good going forward and you can see why they are where they are. But we stuck to our guns, worked hard and with a bit of luck came away with the three points.

And I think this is the earliest I've ever been back from an evening game. Great result all round

3 empty trains sitting in the sidings at Brighton station, I appreciate they need everything at rush hour but cannot believe that can’t put on a couple of 8 carriage trains at 10pm. What was the actual attendance today 24k? Not the clubs fault but surely they can do better than that,

Both games against Bournemouth we've had a slice of luck to win. Also see Newcastle away, and probably a few others I can't think of right now.
Always balances out over the season.
I don’t think we were lucky in the away win. We were comfortable at 2-0 but had Baleba sent off for a second yellow that wasn’t even a foul after 60 mins and they still only managed a goal in injury time.

Interesting how opinions vary so much. Chatting to an Albion supporter (in our colours) afterwards by the train station, he said we’d been outclassed from start to finish, also “No fullback on the planet can play Semenyo”.

I thought we edged the first half, albeit FH/the players did little to help TL. Second half they upped their work rate and dominated, but our subs worked a treat.

We certainly weren’t outclassed. I have it the same as you, edged the first half, outplayed in the second half and on the ropes at 1-1 - they had that big chance (good save from Bart) and we snuck a counter punch knock down out of nowhere to win it.

We hit the bullseye, and the rest of the dominoes fell like a house of cards. Checkmate.

I’m not sure many Brighton fans would say what this chap did… You’d best check you’re not colour blind my friend 😁

I thought Muff played really well. Very impressed by them and absolutely delighted to take the 3 points. They deserved something from that game. But hey, we dug in and did what was needed.

I was very impressed by their intensity. They were so quick to close us down and win the ball back.
