As well as passing the Advanced Driving Standards Agency test there are also three Knowledge tests you must also pass.

The Knowledge of Brighton & Hove is split into two parts:

  1. Brighton consists of 50 random questions on roads of Brighton, & 10 places of interest.
  2. Hove consists of 50 random questions on the roads of Hove and you will again need to know 10 places of interest, the final part of the Hove test will be on rules and regulations to do with owning/renting and driving a licensed vehicle.

The Route Test.

This test is a route driver test done with one of the Hackney Carriage Team. You will be asked to drive to 15 different randomly picked roads within Brighton & Hove you must drive the most direct and economical route as if you have a paying customer on Board.

As well as the Knowledge Tests drivers will also have to attend the Council run courses, these are the Customer Care course and Disability and Equalities and Awareness course.

Also you need to pass the DVLA Group 2 medical, and also the Enhanced CRB check.

Ah yes Sir this correct,but as I said I am driving on My cousin Yusufs badge,He and I are same moustaches,and when nasty hackney carriage man arrives to check paper work we get message on radio clear the ranks for the evening,also no advanced CRB for me,
now you seem like a pretty young girl,fancy going to Asda car park for jiggy jiggy?

I think they are more expensive than the norm!! Any way what are you getting at ?? That's all in the past now and was never proven anyway!!
