Scott Marshall has done BRILLIANTLY.Oh no!!! .ah but I used to live on the same council estate and go to same school as Scott Marshall.................didn't he do well!!!
And I don't like the way you kept the meter ticking over while we waited ten minutes at that level crossing. What was wrong with going another way?
That's what I would assume. HB&B seems to be unaware that the New Church Road route from Station Road, Portslade (or Boundary Road as he incorrectly called it) to St Andrew's Road, Brighton, is not only quicker, but shorter than the Old Shoreham Road route.taxi drivers are obliged to take you the shortest route, might not be the quickest,if you want another route ie longer you are entitled to asked.

And I thought that the point of his game was at least to get that element right.
Mind you ... I'd willingly pay a taxi driver extra to avoid passing the site of the Goldstone Ground - although, in this instance, I shouldn't have to even think about that issue.
ok well the Drove is one way, so well will do a left in to Robertson Road, then another left into Hampstead, a right the top in to the non one way part of The Drove then continue over and into Hove, down the droveway left at the bottom opposite Hove Park, along Goldstone Crescent left at the lights into Old Shoreham Road and I will just pull over here next to the police box.
Why not turn into Kingscote Rd or Scarborough road
You don't go via Olive Road, if you are looking for the shortest / quickest route. Try New Church Road - Church Road - Western Road - Montpelier Road - New England Hill - Viaduct Road - Ditchling Road.
I picked him up by the PDSA do you mean Kingsley??
OK Trig we will go from the rank at Brighton station along Junction Road built in 1931 and pull up outside the Bystander!! £8 cheers its Sunday!!I would like a cab from Brighton Station to the Brighton Bystander please.
Yes always get that wrong. Had he just taken his dog to the vet's then - do you allow animals in your cab
How come you always get Kingsley wrong!! Although I suppose it is the least known street in Brighton where are you? No Animals!!
I always have done - don't know where I got kingscote from!
I'm in Tivoli Crescent and I don't need a cab.
Postcode?Taxi to the Basketmakers Arms please, they used to do a nice drop of Gale's although I understand t'aint brewed in Horndean anymore.
Give me a point a to b in the Brighton and Hove area and I will get you there straight away!!I can't believe you got yourself a licence.
As well as passing the Advanced Driving Standards Agency test there are also three Knowledge tests you must also pass.
The Knowledge of Brighton & Hove is split into two parts:
The Route Test.
- Brighton consists of 50 random questions on roads of Brighton, & 10 places of interest.
- Hove consists of 50 random questions on the roads of Hove and you will again need to know 10 places of interest, the final part of the Hove test will be on rules and regulations to do with owning/renting and driving a licensed vehicle.
This test is a route driver test done with one of the Hackney Carriage Team. You will be asked to drive to 15 different randomly picked roads within Brighton & Hove you must drive the most direct and economical route as if you have a paying customer on Board.
As well as the Knowledge Tests drivers will also have to attend the Council run courses, these are the Customer Care course and Disability and Equalities and Awareness course.
Also you need to pass the DVLA Group 2 medical, and also the Enhanced CRB check.
