Still fail to understand why we let SUllivan go last season.

NOt one off, but Russel Slades biggest cock up.
Entirely agree: a decision which seemed baffling at the time and since then has come to seem even more stupid.

Better than Smith... worse than Kuipers...

I've now seen the Wycombe highlights. A bit harsh to blame him for the first, but definitely culpable for the second. I think Brezo & Smith to leave in the window & a proper keeper to come in and challenge Michel.

Just average size & build, age about 25, played about 200 league games, sort of Sully size, agile, reasonable kicking, sensible positioning, comes for corners. Normal goalie spec.

Following on from Graeme Smith and his supposed worst goal-keeping record in Albion history, has there been a keeper who has kept more clean sheets in his first dozen games than our Brez?

Showed two major flaws today, routed to his line and flapping punches from crosses - typical foreign keeper.

There appears to be a system now that instead of turning good players to shit, turns shit players to good ones. Amazing. :O

Well, I feel a moron now.

But I would counter, slightly and sheepishly, by pointing out that he started like this at Swindon. Where's Moonraker? He'll tell you. Then he broke his arm and that was it, effectively it was game over. I think Sturrock had taken over from Wise/Poyet by the time Brezovan got fit again and by then, Phil Smith was the first choice and so begun the yo-yoing of the two.

All I would say, is that this is the first time Brezovan has really played behind a settled defence. Again, the Moonraker will confirm. Swindon's defence last season changed by the match, much like ours did earlier in the season.

Brilliant as though Brezovan has been over the last couple of months for us, Calderon, Painter, Elphick, El-Abd and Virgo deserve some credit for the part they've played aswell. I'm all for being wrong, though. Because I'm all for Brighton doing well.

Kuipers and Brezovan = Perfect Pair of goalkeepers. :clap2:

I hope these kind of threads that keep coming back to bite everyone in the ass meens that people are going to start giving players the opportunity to show how good they are especially as Poyet has the nack of getting the best out of people.

Can people remember the
1. Calderon thread
2. Painter thread
3. this one
4. Even Carole is doing ok at the mo.
5. Even the one about Poyet.

I just find it absolutly infuriating the lack any common sense. :annoyed:

Sorry Ninja but some of your earlier comments are laughable, Anyone would have thought you were having your own FDM love in. Good to see that you are able to admit that you were wrong.
