Kidding yourself, the UK is in greater danger of breaking up than the EU. Though it is possible it won't be called the EU in ten years time, maybe the United States of Europe, or Federation of Europe, but it is not going to go away, however much you close your eyes and wish for it.

Sportspersons bet?.
Or a bullseye to the charity of our choosing?
I nominate the dogs trust. Ten years from now the bloc be no more.

The wording in Febuary was "I would vote to rejoin/stay out of, the European Union" which went 39%/41%.
The wording in November was "I would vote to remain in/leave, the European Union" which went
You do understand that they are different propositions, and that a majority would have voted to avoid this clusterfvck, if we could have, before it became a done deal, but being where we are, a small majority would rather not go through all that again. Give it a few more months at least, a lot of you guys haven't had a chance to really test drive and feel the quality of Brexit yet.#itsgonnabeshite

Just accept we're a Sovereign global trading nation, no need to concern yourself with irrelevant polls about something that isn't going to happen ......PMSL

Yes. the Dutch are too busy mopping up in financial services and providing UK business a gateway to the world's biggest trade block. Too much to gain now..

Who needs freeports?

Brexiters so desperately want it to fail, they bought into the idea that Brexit was something all of Europe had the same scepticism of, unfortunately it was a con job sold to them by charlatans. You can see the way they fall over themselves to criticise the EU on the vaccine rollout, if only they could find a Brexit benefit instead

No one who voted is remotely interested in the EU, what gives you the idea they are humouring them is the most you'll get

The vaccine decisions we took while we were still in the EU as a sovereign nation is really all they have to run with.

The here and now is an internal customs border, no deal on services, fish & agric screwed over and shit loads of red tape for business. Meanwhile our borders are unchecked for imports

What a mess...

It can't be helped, lots of this was pointed out pre vote but sadly, the Two World Wars, Churchill, Days of Empire and Bournemouth in the 70's golden days claptrap won the day. It's even worse that post vote over the last 4 years no one could see all the pitfalls ahead... I mean just the simple little rule about unpurified Shellfish exports says it all about the unfolding disaster. We have a hilarious push-me-pull-you bicker with the EU about them allegedly " Putting up barriers " to stop our exports but have it pointed out the rules were co-drafted by the UK as members.

At least it gives them some kind of purpose in life, as they don't seem to have much on at the moment, judging from this.

I won't even bother looking at any of these troll brigade posts.

Put them on " ignore " ! dead easy ! I used to try talking to Lightly Baked but it becomes obvious very quickly that a, he does not understand an issue he is replying to, b, once its explained he still does not get it. Hilariously he got a little bee in his bonnet about " Defunding the Police " ... obviously he hadn't grasped the difference between the US and the UK and failed to realise that it can't happen over here.

He also has a thing about onanism and often refers to his " Dead Man's Handle ".... oh and is terrified by the thought of Jeremy Corbyn ! poor dear ! he has a multitude of problems that can be temporarily alleviated by posting guff, lies and catchphrases.

No point, I doubt you will be using this persona in ten years time, and if you were, you would welch anyway.

Of course it didn't. The problem is many in those areas were told that if they voted Leave then the problems those areas face would be magically fixed, when the reality is that the act of Leaving (and the subsequent massive economic hit) has made the process of improving their lot much harder (and indeed there is little indication that the Government they elected to "get Brexit done" and to "level up the UK" has little inclination to do anything about it anyway. It's always been an internal UK decision to not promote these areas (especially in the aftermath of the global economic downturn of the late noughties), and the issues will truly arise when those involved realise they've been conned.

You make a good point but to fix something will take time, so come back to me in 3/4 years as your post is pointless.
