Absolutely no remain voter in the real world I know carries on as they do (all grown-ups to be fair). Not sure what it is about social media but it definitely brings out the worst in some people.

Equally, no Leave voter I have ever met in actual real life (apart perhaps from the vermin surrounding politicians outside the House in October 2019) doesn't spend valuable time jeering at Remain supporters whilst simultaneously failing to resist indulging in puerile name-calling involving loons and suchlike. As you say, social media definitely brings the worst out in people, although only some people.

British Gas are planning to sack all their staff and rehire them on completely different contracts. Employment rights going downhill rapidly.

Oh I'm sure you all would get a similar response (or much worse) in real life if you all carried on the way you do on here. Overall, most of the leave voting element on here have been remarkably restrained but then again we have always held the moral high ground [emoji106]

About 7,000 frontline office workers represented by the Unison trade union accepted the energy company’s new terms last month, and 4,000 non-unionised staff also agreed to sign new contracts.

As usual it seems GMB are central to this!

That doesn't surprise me , being a unison member myself I'm a bit sceptical about their approach they seem to be a union that sides with the employers rather than their members on occasions ,fair play to the GMB for taking a firmer stance on the matter

A fair few of them have been banned for :checks notes: calling people paedophiles, racism and wishing covid on others. Then there are the racists who are still around.

Exports to EU to plunge by more than one-third because of Boris Johnson’s Brexit trade deal

Total UK trade will nosedive by 13 per cent, according to the London School of Economics (LSE) analysis, making a mockery of the government’s claims of a buccaneering “Global Britain” outside the bloc.

And Britons will feel the pain in their wallets and purses, with income-per-head forecast to fall by 6 per cent – just 2 per cent less than if there had been a no-deal Brexit.

The study came as a cabinet minister rebuffed a call to assess the economic damage from the Christmas Eve agreement, telling MPs it was time to “move forward”.

I wonder why the Government wouldn't want to bring all it's power and expertise to assess exactly what the economic effect would be. Surely it wouldn't be so they could 'move on' and pretend this clusterf*** never happened
