"Baroness" Claire Fox. I didn't know that had happened. With Beefy and some of the other clowns The Lords is becoming even more of a Muppet show than ever.

Claire Fox?! God help us.

The Muppets were funny and entertaining.

An IRA apologist condoning the Wigan bomb which killed two young boys, is an example of the Tories getting into bed with anyone that will support them, except she didn’t.

Yes, apologies to Kermit and Fozzy. Claire Fox is a truly horrible individual and (from what I've seen) generally wrong about everything.

Funny that she's voted against the people who appointed her though. Probably did it just to try to look clever, as she always does, only she's not clever. She's just nasty.

The government will hate this, but Major speaks the truth

We're obsessed with nostalgia, selective use of history and empire. Stuck in the past, it may be our ultimate undoing as a Union of nations

BREAKING: Lords overwhelmingly vote to scrap sections of the Internal Market Bill which break international law.

433 to 165

The government has vowed to reinstate the clauses, despite both the EU and President-elect Biden arguing that they jeopardise the Good Friday Agreement.

Johnson has completely check mated himself

To be fair, he check mated himself the moment he decided to stand as PM in order to 'deliver' the fantasy 'no deal' or the fantasy 'good deal' that he had sold 3 years earlier. At least May understood the limits of what could be delivered and what was unicornland (one for the leave lurkers) :lolol:

Tick tock

I love the little lol at your own post, nice to see GAP is having an influence.

After days and days of constant posting on the Biden/Trump thread, you seem to have lost all interest in what is going on the other side of the pond. I wonder why that may be ???

Biden now 2/5, Trump 2/1.

All over according the layers.

Hope we can get a deal.
Yup, Sleepy 'EU' Joe will sort us out.

Difficult times ahead.

Looks like the Senate result will be pretty important.

Even when Biden defeats Trump, he will be unable to pass legislation on key issues such as healthcare, immigration and climate change unless the Democrats simultaneously seize the Senate, where the Republicans held a 47-53 majority.

Fair point, but for accuracy I am not, nor never was, pro Trump.

A mad loose cannon.

The alternative however does concern me. As someone who wanted to rid myself of the EU binds, Biden is obviously pro the union.

What concerns me more, is some past stories.

We'll see.

Watched the Biden and Harris victory speeches in full last night with a strong emphasis on uniting with 48 / 52 together

Pity the Tories didn't do that in 2016 after our 48/52 vote, if they had we might be in a very different place now
