Gods country fortnightly
Would rule out EU citizens living in the UK and Brits living in the EU being used as pawns by the Tories once again.

Just seen that Boris has said to the whining hauliers that they should not think of “the extra faff” they will incur.....more the “new opportunities”. I am struggling to think of new opportunities beyond the EU for a lorry driver but it’s a lovely kick in the teeth to the industry which voted for Brexit.

As we all know, there are no " New Opportunities" for British truck companies, all that will happen is that on Jan 1st they become less efficient and less competitive due to extra paperwork and checks.

The U.K. has just signed a trade deal with Japan, can’t they drive whatever crap they’ve got in the back of their truck there?

The sound of pennies droppping. I’ve seen several veteran Facebook pages where British immigrants in Europe (expats to Brexit supporters) have been told their British bank accounts are being closed.

Why didn't you tell them about all the wonderful benefits and opportunities coming their way?

At the other end of the scale I've been explaining to a number of youngsters how their idea of 'working a ski season' (regardless of Covid) won't be as simple as they think. Being a veteran of ski holidays, I know how often companies switch their staff between resorts and countries, particularly with the increased popularity of linked resorts across countries.

Why on earth would a British Ski company employ a British passport holder to work in Europe if they don't know what country(s) they are going to want them to work in.

Good opportunity for thousands of EU kids to take British jobs with British companies from thousands of British kids :shootself

Who's laughing ? And what is 'left' or 'right' about Brexit ?

They are simply pointing out that finally, with 12 weeks to go, people who supported Brexit are finally looking at, and finding out, how it actually effects them (ie pennies are dropping)

And those pennies are going to turn into an absolute avalanche over the next few weeks

Tick tock (Now that IS taking the piss out of people who voted Brexit)

Another consequence is brexiteers posts on social media getting more ridiculous.
