So in conclusion, and going on the wording of the statement on the future relationship aspect of the withdrawal agreement from Chequers and not what third parties are saying on twitter

https://assets.publishing.service.g...ta/file/723460/CHEQUERS_STATEMENT_-_FINAL.PDF

Still out of THE customs union, own separate seat at the WTO and still leaving us free to set our own trade globally and still no longer subject to a EU group trade policy whilst promoting a new Facilitated Customs Arrangement,

Still recognising the UK and EU wont have the same access to each others markets after we have left the EU and its single market and still quitting being members of the single market and a new proposal of free trade area for goods.

Still leaving march 29 2018

Still maintaining the implementation period is time limited and ends at the end of 2020

Harmonisation with EU on rules on goods but regulatory flexibility where it matters most for the UK’s services-based economy, with harmonisation only on the rules that are relevant to providing for frictionless trade at the border, with parliament having oversight on any new rules pertaining to border trade.

Still ending free movement, and still taking back control of the numbers that can enter here from the EU, with those EU nationals wishing to come here to work or study being able to apply to do so.

Still leaving the Common Agricultural Policy and Common Fisheries Policy

Still ensuring that in the future all laws in the UK would be legislated for by Parliament

Still ending the primacy of the ECJ, and still restoring the supremacy of UK courts

Still ending the vast annual payments to the EU budget

But apparently according to a couple of people on here we are now not leaving the EU, free movement is remaining and the Leavers must apparently be livid.

Rule maker to rule taker, exactly what Remainers were warning of prior to the referendum. What a colossal embarrasment.

May might as well just revoke A50 and keep calling it Brexit. It will pretty much amount to the same thing but importantly it will keep everyone happy. Brexiteers have Brexit (and their oh so important blue passports) and the rest of us normal people can just get on with things. Job done.

For the Brexitear camp. Not my words, Brexitears

pro-Brexit campaign group Leave Means Leave said it would represent a "bad deal for the UK" which would "only slide further as the EU takes more and more".
"The prime minister has totally misled 17.4 million voters and left it as late as possible to reveal that she remains a stubborn Remainer," said its chair John Longworth.
"We will be controlling neither laws, nor trade, nor borders. A total, humiliating capitulation."
Former UKIP leader Nigel Farage said the plan amounted to a "sell-out to global corporates" and would do nothing for the 90% of British firms which do not export to Europe

We get lots of rebates too for Wales, and places like Devon and Cornwall. Wales has changed its mind on Brexit, now they see how much they're going to miss out.
So you spoke to everyone in Wales then?
I'm astonished that you remainers are so loved up with Brussels when the whole of Europe is on a massive downward spiral in many aspects.Yet you love these power hungry idiots who really do love controlling countries.

Rebates rebates rebates.....We give to them and they give some back.Thats called a middle man that distributes money and I'm sure Britain is capable of doing this themselves and just maybe once we start trading globally we can start focusing on a new prosperous Britain.
Where do you think the EU get all their money from? God?
Let's be honest wales has had problems for decades even in the EU and the same for northern England which has very poor areas. Its time for some back bone and determination to make these places prosperous and to share the future wealth.
The EU isn't the place for us and it's time to spread our wings as it's a big world out there:clap2:

Welsh MPs on television, and in the press reporting what their constituents have told them. Wake up and smell the coffee.

Don't worry we can rely on cheap Chinese steel, because USA has slapped a 25% tariff on theirs. If only we were part of a larger trading cartel with more clout?

Looking on the bright side, it's taken 2 and a bit years, but at least negotiations can now start and the EU will no longer be bemused bystanders. (Although you can see the lack of detail being a little problematic).

And the 'just get on with it' gang can cheer up and start blaming the EU for the results of the the actual negotiations with some justification.

I predict a few pages of whataboutism before all that starts though.

(How do you post a picture of mystic Meg from a phone? :lolol:)
